Quasi Automaton

Quasi automatons are mindless automatons that obey the programming of their creators.

A quasi automaton does only what it is programmed to do upon creation. It can draw no conclusions of its own, takes no initiative, and cannot accept new orders without further programming. However, the programming of a quasi automaton can be incredibly complex. A quasi automaton follows its programming until destroyed.

Creating A Quasi Automaton

Quasi automaton is an inherited template that can be modeled to duplicate any living corporeal creature.

Size and Type

The creature’s type changes to construct. It retains any subtype except for alignment subtypes (such as good). It does not gain the augmented subtype. It uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Hit Dice

Change all Hit Dice to d10s.

Speed

Same as base creature.

Armor Class

Same as base creature.

Attacks

Same as base creature.

Damage

Same as base creature.

Special Attacks

Same as base creature.

Special Qualities

Same as base creature except as follows:

Quasi Automaton (Ex)

A quasi automaton is still a creature even though it has both wisdom and charisma as non-ability scores.

Saves

Base save bonuses are Fort +1/3 HD, Ref +1/3 HD, and Will +1/3 HD.

Abilities

A quasi automaton has no Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score.

Skills

A quasi automaton has no skills.

Feats

A quasi automaton loses all feats of the base creature.

Environment

Any, usually same as base creature.

Organization

Any.

Challenge Rating

Depends on Hit Dice.

Treasure

None.

Alignment

Always neutral.

Advancement

As base creature (or — if the base creature advances by character class).

Level Adjustment

None.

A quasi automaton shrieker is a stationary construct emits a loud noise to attract prey or when disturbed.

Quasi automaton shriekers come in of shades of purple with a dull metalic color.

Combat

A quasi automaton shrieker has no means of attack. Instead, it lures targets to its vicinity by emitting a loud noise.

Shriek (Ex)

Movement or a light source within 10 feet of a quasi automaton shrieker causes it to emit a piercing sound that lasts for 1d3 rounds. The sound attracts nearby creatures that are disposed to investigate it. Some creatures that live near quasi automaton shriekers come to learn that its noise means there is food nearby.

Quasi Automaton (Ex)

A quasi automaton is still a creature even though it has both wisdom and charisma as non-ability scores.

It's possible I made this template purely in pique.

Edit: changed HD from d12 to d10

Should it get a will save of _?
Why do undead get fort saves which are not of _.
How do we know whenever to put a save of _?

Dexterity
Any creature that can move has at least 1 point of Dexterity. A creature with no Dexterity score can’t move. If it can perform actions (such as casting spells), it applies its Intelligence modifier to initiative checks instead of a Dexterity modifier. The creature automatically fails Reflex saves and Dexterity checks.

An argument might be possible for will... but :/

Technically, this thing is immune to all ability damage, drain, and even curses to reduce ability scores. It's also immune to increases...

Typically constructs have d10 Hit Dice (plus bonus hp based on size).

Where is it written that the reflex save of a creature without dex is _
Failing automatically a save does not directly means it is _ .
I know that any number + _ = _
but

The modifier for a nonability is +0
and not _.
So I wonder why do the base shrieker gets _ to its reflex save.

I think its just a place holder for saying that it's not applicable (because it doesn't get a saving throw).
