Something I was just toying around with combining a few ideas together to make a new cleric ArchType. Please excuse the roughness this is a first pass at it so it needs some fine tuning, but hoped you fine people could help me tweak it a bit...

Hate Domain
Hate Clerics are often misunderstood having wildly inaccurate rumors regarding them as little more than angry bounty hunters. Hate clerics, as they are more commonly known as, believe in using their hate of wicked creatures to get revenge on the helpless & trampled people of the world. Often fighting not to protect such creatures, but to avenge their suffering instead. clerics of this sect dedicate their selves to finding the vilest creatures and hunting them down. The clerics write in a special journal every day, their exploits as a form of prayer to their god and each day when they finish new pages magically appear. It is rumored that if a cleric writes the name of a monster they hate above life itself for it’s wicked crimes in their journal the name will glow crimson red and no more pages will appear in the book ever again. This is the Destiney of Hate Clerics to sacrifice themselves purging the world of the most terrifying creatures in name of Justice.

Domain Spells:
1st: Bane, Command
3rd: Augery, Hold Person
5th: Blink, Bestow Curse
7th: Locate Creature, Death Ward
9th: Scrying, Wall of Force

Bonus Proficiency:
At 1st Level, you gain proficiency with Heavy Armor & writing in your journal replaces praying for you each day.

Disciple of Hate:
Also starting at 1st level, each day you may write the name of a creature your hunting in your journal & you are blessed with advantage on all WIS & INT checks in your effort to locate and gain information about the target.

Channel Divinity: Vengeance Lock
Starting at 2nd level, as an action, you present your holy symbol, and one creature that is within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw, provided that the creature can see or hear you. If the creature fails its saving throw, it must treat all terrain types as difficult terrain for 1 hour.

Mark of Justice:
Starting at 6th level, as an action you may Mark a target for Justice the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw, provided that the creature can see or hear you. If the creature fails its saving throw a glowing emblem is placed on its back. Any creature that see's the target must make the same wisdom save otherwise it's feelings towards the target degrade. A creature who is amiable will become indifferent, and a creature that is indifferent may become hostile towards it. Last for a number of hours equal to your current cleric level or until dispelled. You may do this a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier (minimum of 1) per long rest.

Divine Strike:
At 8th level, once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 force damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Destiny Fulfilled:
At 17th level, when you successfully touch a creature with a melee or spell attack you may invoke this ability. Doing so allows you to roll your current total hit die and do that much damage as Radiant damage to the target creature and half that amount of damage to yourself. A Level 17 Cleric would do a minimum of 17 damage and a maximum of 136 to a creature and suffer half as much. This damage is not resistible & you suffer from 2 levels of exhaustion afterwards. You must wait 3 days before using this ability again.

So... What gods would have clerics of this domain?

2 bits of advice:

1. Post this is the Homebrew section with the 5e tag

2. Level 1 gain proficiency in Hot Topic clothing and accessories 😋

Bane, Cyric, Talos are the obvious ones

Auril and Lociatar may be a decent fit too.

Because she's based on a finnish goddess, it's bit of a pet peeve of mine to correct whenever their (Mielikki is another) names are misspelled:

Loviatar, not Lociatar.
