The following homebrew (house rule really) is based on the Playtest of Pathfinder 2E (http://paizo.com/pathfinderplaytest). As the game progresses, this may be changed based on adjustments in the game system. Most of my attempts at brews in this window will generally be less detail oriented, falling mostly into the realm of house rules, minimizing what may ned to be done by time of the proper full release of Pathfinder 2E. Thank you.

CORRUPTION
If you are among those whom enjoyed the corruption rules from Pathfinder, which may or may not be a minority, then you are in luck: We are talking about them now. Rather than a hard conversion, just for the sheer amount of material to convert, with surprisingly little in the way of changes, and my lack of desire to copy and past several posts worth of material.. we are charting out standards and concepts that would allow for ease of use. Let us begin.

General Mechanics: In large part, everything that was in the original version will work here. Corruptions are still corruptions, manifestations are still manifestations, things are contracted and advance in the same way.

Manifestation Saving Throws: Because of changes to the system, so too must the DC of general manifestations. In Pathfinder 2E the DC of manifestations will be 10 + your level + your manifestation level, putting them in line with your Class DC except using manifestation level instead of an ability score. Ones that specify a different save, due to basis of a class feature such as spellcasting, should also refer to the above DC formula.

Variants (Useful and Vile): These will operate the same, with one exception: Your circumstance bonus from refusing gifts in the Vile Corruption variant cannot exceed +4.

Progression Save: Due to changes in the system, your bonus to saves is likely to be much higher, thus meaning we need a much tougher save for you to overcome. As a result, it should instead be equal to 15 + your manifestation level + 1/2 your level (rounded down). This way, even if you acquire your corruption later in the game it will be tougher to overcome, drawing from as much your strength as it does how corrupted you are.

Bonuses and Penalties from Manifestations: Several manifestations provide some manner of bonus. Halve values greater than 1, or less than -1. Also recognize some bonus types do not exist anymore and should be converted, for instance morale bonuses are now circumstance bonuses.

Manifestations that Replicate Spells: These should function as normal, though using the updated version of the spell. If a manifestation provides the effect of a spell that no longer exists, then you have three choices: Find a spell that replicates its effect (preferably of the same level) to grant instead, allow the effect though no longer tied to the spell, or do not allow that manifestation.

Skills: Some grant you the ability to use skills as if you have ranks in them, such as Skill Conditioning. Since skill ranks are no longer a concept, in effect you are treated as if you are trained in the skill (your proficiency modifier equalling your level). Additionally on the subject of skills, do note that there are changes in what skills exist between systems. In most cases, they share the same name: Acrobatics is still acrobatics, athletics is athletics. In other, the skill may however have a change in name or function; Knowledge (Arcana) is now just Arcana, Bluff is now Deception, and Slight of Hand is now Thievery. If a skill does not have its function represented in a skill in 2nd Edition, then you have to go on your best judgement for a substitute.

CMB and CMD: Since these are no longer terms, you simply take the bonus or penalty (halved) on effects that previously would have evoked them. If the manifestation specifies which ones, then it is then levied upon those.

These are just what come to mind first. I am, however, open to discussion. What are some instances missed of things that changed that need addressed? Do you believe these proposed changes work, don't, or do you even have better suggestions on any of them? Would you bring corruptions to the table, and if so which?

Since it is now out, this is worth digging back up. The system appears to be unchanged in the relevant areas enough to leave this functional as is (or at least as functional as it was during the play test)
