Sometimes a deity tampers with the bloodline of a specific family, with the intention of one day producing a being infused with their power. These divine scions may or may not follow the whims of their patron deity, but are inevitably destined to fulfill the purpose of their own creation.

Spells per Day
At the indicated levels, a divine scion gains new spells per day, spells known, and an increased caster level, as if he had also gained a level in an arcane spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class.

Domain
A divine scion has learned of how a deity has been carefully guiding his family history, laying down a careful framework of plans culminating in the scion’s existence. The divine scion’s patron deity now gives him new power. He gains one domain, using his divine scion level as his cleric level, and his charisma modifier in place of his wisdom modifier for his domain powers. He may take spells from his domain in place of spells from the spell list of his arcane casting class whenever he gains new spells known.

Smite Evil
At 1st level, and every three following levels, the divine scion gains one more use of his Smite Evil ability each day.

Bloodline
Divine Scion levels stack with other class levels when determining the effects of his bloodline powers, and which bloodline powers he has access to.

Destroy Evil
Whenever the divine Scion casts a spell targeting an evil creature he is smiting, the save DCs are increased by +1. This bonus increases to +2 against Outsiders with the Evil subtype, evil-aligned dragons, or undead creatures.

Divine Casting
Starting at 2nd level, a divine scion can present a holy symbol of his patron deity to gain assistance in casting. By adding a divine focus component, he can cast an arcane spell as if it were a divine spell. The divine scion’s caster level is increased by +1 for the purpose of determining the effects of that spell, and he suffers no arcane spell failure chance. However, this increases the casting time of the spell as if he had applied a metamagic feat to it.

Bonus Feat
At 3rd, 6th and 9th levels, the divine scion gets a bonus feat chosen from his bloodline’s list of feats.

Vanquish Evil
Starting at 5th level, the divine scion gains a sacred bonus to caster level checks made to bypass the spell resistance of creatures he is smiting equal to his charisma modifier.

Divine Intervention
At 8th level, whenever damage would bring a divine scion to 0 hit points or fewer, he may expend one use of his Smite Evil ability to recover 2d6 hit points. This increases to 4d6 if the source of the damage is an Outsider with the Evil subtype, an evil-aligned dragon, or an undead creature.

Obliterate Evil
At 10th level, whenever the divine scion applies one or more metamagic feats to a spell that targets an evil creature he is smiting, decrease the spell’s effective level by 1, or by 2 if the creature is an Outsider with the Evil subtype, evil-aligned dragon, or undead creature (to a minimum of the spell’s normal level).
