I just read an amazing article (http://12angrymen.wordpress.com/2007/09/14/hero-of-the-week-jedi-christopher-knight/) about this dude in North Carolina. Turns out Viacom tried to sue him for posting a clip that aired on VH1, of HIS commercial, which they took illegally. Amazingly he won!!! It's so refreshing to see someone fight against the big media and win like this.

His original video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=nLi5B0Iefsk) is a really nice bit of star wars fan film too, btw. Really good specials for some dude running for local office. I wish we had people like him running for school board. Can't seem to find if he won or not... can anyone else?

Yeah, the best part is Viacom STOLE his stuff first, then had the balls to sue.

Glad to see a little guy win (for once). I have to wonder though, is this guy so "little". One of the problems is that these big companies can sit and delay trials with their plethera of high priced sharks...errr lawyers. Most normal folks cant keep up with that, heck... I have to work, ya know?

No, he didn't win. It is mentioned in the notes for the original clip on youtube, but he said he got close.
