Kobayashi Marut

The kobayashi marut is a special type of marut (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/inevitable.htm#marut) constructed to be more difficult to defeat in melee combat.

A kobayashi marut loses the fast healing 10 of a normal marut and gains the following ability:

Regeneration 10 (Ex)

Attacks from axes that are light weapons deal normal damage to a kobayashi marut. If a kobayashi marut loses a limb or body part, the lost portion regrows in 1 round. The creature can reattach the severed member instantly by holding it to the stump.

If a kobayashi marut has taken damage at least equal to it's HD it loses this regeneration and gains fast healing 10 while it's regeneration is inactive.

Furthermore:

A kobayashi marut's damage reduction changes to dr 15/chaotic or light weapon axe.

Because Kirk beat the Kobayashi Maru scenario by:

Hacking it. :D

Further explanation:

Because the Marut has no Con score, regeneration would make it invulnerable to damage (because it can't take nonlethal damage) except what bypasses its regeneration.

Made it so that light axes will damage it normally through DR because they don't do much damage normally. Also, hitting it with baleful polymorph could work as well which keeps true to the above spoilered strategy in a way as well.

Also:
Catching up on homebrew I guess.

Instead of relying on a fragile justification and mechanical acrobatics, change regen. to Self Repair or something and throw away the light axes clause.

Puns are the lowest form of humour... but I burst out laughing when I saw this. Good job!

The acrobatics are part of the humor. It's not really a totally serious monster.

Thank you, it is meant to be a humorous monster.
