Some skills are trainable. These items function like magic items in the D&D world but are not magical. Do you think the DC level should be higher than 15?

The Palace of Memory - A non-magical manual teaching memorization techniques. Will increase intelligence by one point if the character makes a DC15 Intelligence check after one months of study and practice. May test once per month. Will only *ever* increase intelligence by 1 point and will not ever increase higher than 18. Allows character, after three months of study of their subject, to gain proficiency in Arcana OR History if they do not already have it. If they already have proficiency they may gain expertise in one of the skills.

The Book of Notable Patterns - A non-magical manual teaching pattern recognition techniques. Will increase wisdom by one point if the character makes a DC15 Intelligence check after one month of study and practice. May test once per month. Will only *ever* increase wisdom by 1 point and will not ever increase higher than 18. Allows character to gain proficiency in Investigation OR Perception if they do not already have it. If they already have proficiency they may gain expertise in one of the skills.

The Tome of Oration - A non-magical manual teaching rhetorical and oratory skills. Will increase charisma by one point if the character makes a DC15 Intelligence check. May test once per month. Will only *ever* increase charisma by 1 point and will not ever increase higher than 18. Allows character to gain proficiency in Persuasion or Insight if they do not already have it. If they already have proficiency they may gain expertise in one of the skills.
