:smallamused:

I guess Meynold's isn't going to make it so just in case:
Meynold's Frenzies and uses two weapons to attack Khaldan and Kasz!

Note: The round is almost over so he's not in danger from other attacks, thus the frenzy.

I can understand posting your teammate's actions if they can't make it but posting someone that's not on your team's actions? Think that's going abit too far.

Round 6

Shouts:
Fredricus leads Captain van der Decken, the undead, GoC, and Streakster in a charge!
Heretic, on the other side, leads Castaras, Khaldan, Kasz, Fleeing Coward, Dr Bath, Calamity, Orzel, and Almighty Salmon against them!

Pre-Main:
Fredricus takes a swipe at Kasz (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385021), but Kasz is merely grazed! (1 damage.) Captain van der Decken makes a cautious attack (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385025) at Khaldan, but it is repelled! Kasz tries to sneak up on Streakster (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385038), but Streakster was expecting him! The target-turned-attacker slashes viciously at Kasz (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385033) for 5 damage!
Heretic eviscerates GoC (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385041) for 6 damage! GoC is also impaled!
Castaras forms a Chaos Hammer!
Fleeing Coward thumps Streakster soundly for 3 damage!
Dr Bath slices the zombie's head off (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385043) for 11 damage! It moves its limbs weakly! Orzel plunges his hand into the ghoul for 3 damage! Orzel leaps onto the Ungerladon (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385076)! (Can't affect nor be affected by non-riding players if you are riding)
Almighty Salmon sets his sights on the ghoul. He yells out a battle-cry, raises his weapon, swings... and completely misses altogether (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385050)!
Zombie Jagg (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385028) and Ghoul Raiser (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385029) (hey that sounds kind of cool) surround Khaldan, but he is able to repel them! Drawing his holy symbol, he speaks divine words that turn the zombie to dust and deal 15 damage to the ghoul!

Kasz sustained some major wounds (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385056)! So did GoC (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385060)! But Streakster manages his (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385061)!

Main Phase:
The Ungerladon stomps on Khaldan (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385019), but he is able to roll away (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1385054)!
Eldritch Knight pokes his sword around in Jagg's corpse's corpse.

Calamity is mauled! Meynolds is mauled!

Woah, missed an action.

Anyway, about the other team sending in actions thing: Meynolds didn't seem to mind last time, but I'm not so sure about this time.
Since it was posted just before the deadline (heck I didn't notice it until I posted), Meynolds would've been mauled, unlike last time, when it was posted way early in the round and Meynolds didn't disagree.
So, yeah, there's that, and there's that Meynolds might not have wanted that action in the first place

Round 7

Shouts:
Streakster leads GoC, Fredricus, Captain van der Decken, and the ghoul in a charge! Dr Bath rallies Calamity, Almighty Salmon, Fleeing Coward, Heretic, and Castaras for the same!

Pre-Main:
Almighty Salmon chases GoC across the arena! Kasz also runs around the arena, from Streakster and Fredricus, stopping only to get a cure from Khaldan!
Speaking of Khaldan, Captain van der Decken advances on him and strikes (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388251) for 2 damage!
Streakster chases Kasz right into a trap, as he runs into Dr Bath, who knocks him down (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388253) for 4 damage, setting him up for Calamity, who is hiding in the shadows! Calamity strikes (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388255), but Streakster manages to dodge away in time! Unfortunately for him, he dodges right into Heretic, who impales him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388259)for 10 damage! And Castaras, who unleashes a chaos hammer (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388274) for 5 damage! (note: the attack roll is only for GFTE.)
Fleeing Coward thumps the dazed ghoul for 3 damage!

Khaldan can keep on going (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388280)! Streakster takes major damage and loses 3 lives!

Main Phase:
Orzel can't catch up to Kasz! Meynolds leaps at GoC, but he is moving too fast!

The Ungerladon attacks Meynolds (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388284) in mid leap! It swings its massive tail, knocking Meynolds to the ground (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1388286), but he manages to land safely and takes only 1 damage!

Round 8

GoC stops trying to defend himself, and presents himself to the crowd. He drops his sword.

Announcer: Is GoC... surrendering?

The crowd holds out their thumbs... thumbs up!

Announcer: Well, you know what that means. We'll have to kill you, then.

GoC looks around in disbelief. With a snort, he motions to Fredricus, drawing a dagger from who-knows-where.

Shouts:
Fredricus leads the charge for Captain van der Decken, GoC, Streakster, and the ghoul!

Pre-Main Phase:
Captain van der Decken goes for Khaldan (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392721)! Khaldan kind of steps dazedly to one side as the captain stumbles and misses! GoC and undead Raiser charge at Heretic, who tries to run away, but is too slow! GoC digs his dagger into Heretic's shoulder (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392729) for 3 2 damage, (reroll damage (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392768) to take into account metaphysical weapon) but Heretic is able to dodge the ghoul's wild swings (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392732)!
Streakster raises his arms, and a glowing shield is formed in front of him!

Heretic rolls away, clutching his wound, but he is otherwise okay (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392756)!

Main Phase
The Ungerladon spots Castaras (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392758), lowering its head to charge at her (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392759)! She notices this, and leaps to the side!
Fredricus rushes at Kasz, weapon poised to strike (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392671)! But Kasz ducks under his swing and disappears into the shadows!
Fleeing Coward thumps GoC for 3 damage! Almighty Salmon swings (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392738), but it is blocked! Meynolds jumps high in the air and lands a crushing blow (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392742) that deals 5 damage to GoC! GoC stumbles, and Calamity makes a fake in his direction, leaving him open for Dr Bath's attack! However, the doctor fumbles his weapon (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392746)!
Eldritch Knight brutally attacks Khaldan (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392748), recklessly slashing at him for 7 damage!
Kasz suddenly appears behind GoC, and attacks a major artery (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392754)! GoC senses this, turns around, and dodges it! Orzel takes this opportunity to Iron Palm Kasz for 3 damage!
Castaras' sword (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392752) gets past Streakster's wooden shield, but will it penetrate his divine shield? It deals 2 6 damage! (reroll damage (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392770) to take into account TPIY bonus)
Calamity furiously attacks Streakster (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392750)! Streakster's (wooden) shield takes the brunt of the blow, but it is smashed into bits!

GoC's blood spurts up from his new wounds, and he loses 1 life! Khaldan falls (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392763) from Eldritch Knight's beating! Kasz is bent over double (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392761) from Orzel's attack! Streakster's shield absorbed part of Castaras' attack, and he survived (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1392772) the remainder!

Also, Khaldan is mauled to death and eaten by the lions!

Heretic tries to leap on to the Ungerladon (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1399534), but he is thrown off! He takes 4 damage!
The Ungerladon targets Captain van der Decken (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1399565) (reroll; first roll had Khaldan, Jagg, Raiser)! Its massive tail smashes the captain (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1399572) for 3 damage!
Fleeing Coward creates a metaphysical weapon for Almighty Salmon!
Meynolds chases after Streakster!
Orzel focuses more psionic energy than he can safely control, (taking 4 damage in the process), blasting Kasz with a mind thrust (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1399551)! Kasz falters, but resists!
Calamity heals himself for 2 life!

The wind is knocked out of Heretic (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1399559)! Captain van der Decken gets up, unfazed (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1399575), like those guys in comics who are knocked into walls and stuff! Orzel controls his mental energies (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1399563)! Eldritch Knight is mauled!

Round 11

Shouts
Dr Bath leads a charge with Calamity, Almighty Salmon, Fleeing Coward, Heretic, and Castaras!

Pre-Main Phase
Heretic tries to hit Streakster (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407975), but he rolls out of the way!
Dr Bath and Calamity corner Streakster, and the doctor pounds him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407958) for 8 damage! (REROLL: forgot shield other (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407973)) attacks him, but Streakster dodges it! Calamity punches him hard in the solar plexus (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407959), (REROLL: forgot shield other (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407968)) stunning him for 1 round and dealing 9 damage!
Almighty Salmon attacks GoC (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407966), but GoC evades it! But Fleeing Coward is able to strike GoC when he sidesteps, for 3 damage! Reeling from the blow, he does not manage to dodge Castaras' sudden attack (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407977), which hits for 3 damage!

GoC and Streakster are both overwhelmed!

Main Phase
Kasz and Eldritch knight leap at each other! Kasz gets the first hit (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407987), striking for 2 damage! Eldritch Knight counterattacks with a powerful blow (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407989)! But Kasz leaps aside in time! Captain van der Decken pounces on the opportunity and pounces on the prone Kasz (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407991), but Kasz rolls to the side! Fredricus provides a follow-up (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407997), but Kasz easily parries it! But Orzel manages to hit the elusive Kasz for 3 damage!
Meynolds leaps at GoC, bringing the axe down in a powerful arc (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1408007)! But GoC still has the presence of mind to raise his sword and block it!
The Ungerladon attacks the nearest gladiator, Almighty Salmon (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1407999)! It brings its tail down on him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1408001), but he nimbly springs away!

Kasz survives (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1408006)! Eldritch Knight's wound is minor (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1410327)!

Shouldn't Streakster lose 2 lives since his max vitality is only 1d4 with impale?
Also since Almighty Salmon didn't hit, shouldn't metaphysical weapon still be in effect?

Well, he had Shield of Law up... which... uh, doesn't change a thing, actually. You're right

Hmm, shouldn't EK be wounded unless the special effect only comes into play when I get the attack bonus? If so whoops to me.

Abardam
2007-12-05, 08:09 AM
Yeah, only if you hit a guy who's not attacking you, and did not attack you last round. I probably should've made the skill description more clear (same goes for that other skill with a semicolon)

GoC
2007-12-05, 11:12 AM
Well, he had Shield of Law up... which... uh, doesn't change a thing, actually. You're right

Huh?:smallconfused:
Streakster has 1d4+4 vitality and was dealt 9 damage.
So 8 damage (the max of 1d4+4) causes him to lose one life with 1 damage left over.
He then rolls 1d4+4 against 1 and automatically succeeds.
What am I missing?

Abardam
2007-12-06, 11:09 AM
Twice max of 1d4=8. But yeah, I probably should've just changed the wording to 'reduce total damage dealt by 4.'

GoC

Twice max of 1d4=8. But yeah, I probably should've just changed the wording to 'reduce total damage dealt by 4.'

But isn't his vitality 1d4+4 not 1d4?

EDIT: Even going the other way: 9-4<2xmax of 1d4=8

What if you had 1d4+5 (lucky) and were dealt 8 damage?
Would you automatical lose two lives or would you be able to roll to see if your vitality exceeds 8?

Yes, only the base vitality counts when the damage exceeds it. Anyway, I also think that mobs do suck (I think Funkyodor and Team Black would agree with me here) but that's a discussion for after the game ends.

Round 12

Almighty Salmon, Fleeing Coward, Heretic, Castaras, Dr Bath, Calamity, Kasz, and Meynolds all gang up on Team Chrome! Almighty Salmon socks Streakster (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413586) for 2 damage; Castaras chops at him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413587) for 4 damage; Dr Bath bashes him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413589) for 10 damage; and Meynolds... misses (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413596). GoC retaliates on Meynolds (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413598), but his armor takes the force of the blow! Fleeing Coward face-crunchingly clouts GoC for 3 damage; Calamity tries to club him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413603) but misses; Heretic hits him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413607) for 10 damage; Kasz tries to cut him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413608), but GoC evades it!

Team Red and Team Brown have their own mini-gang up on Kasz. Fredricus, flanking his right, attacks him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413624), but is parried; the captain charges him (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413627), but can't connect; the eldritch knight swings powerfully (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413631), but inaccurately; but Orzel manages to iron palm for 3 damage!

The Ungerladon charges Orzel (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413632)! It thunders across the arena, but Orzel just manages to jump out of the way!

Kasz is still alive (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1413638), but the same can't be said for Streakster or GoC, who both lose 3 lives!

Dr. Bath
2007-12-08, 01:03 PM
I think it's mainly because of perceived 'trump' powers, like the psi-wave thing and raising zombies. I think it's more that they are easy to spot than they're particularly strong. Having a team with full divine points at this point is much stronger than one with some 'super-power'.

Please don't all kill me again for talking, it got annoying last game.

Full divine powers won't really do much, when you think about it. At best it's just a 2 life heal so me and Almighty Salmon hasn't really got much else going for us when you compare it with the other teams.
We're one of the few teams that can't charge so in any endgame, we're going to be at a severe disadvantage against a charge and sprint situation. The other teams also got way better chances of hitting and avoiding losing life - Captain van der Decken with 6 lives and Juggernaut will be almost impossible to take down in a 1 on 1, team castaras has got flank and impale that no one left can heal, Orzel's got an overchanneled mind thrust that can negate the whole divine power bonus in one attack against a psi weak field. The only team that we could probably claim to be on par with is Dr. Bath's and even then, they got charge and Calamity's flank.

Castaras and Heretic double-team Fredricus, but Captain van der Decken leaps in front of him, yelling "Noooooo!" or something. His armor repels Castaras' stab (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1424440), and his shield blocks Heretic's slash (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1424445)!
Dr Bath slashes at the Ungerladon (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1424412), but his attack bounces off its armor! Calamity tries to attack it in a vulnerable spot, but it is watching him! So he just hits its face (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1424417). For 7 damage! Fleeing Coward bashes its shell for 2 damage!

The Ungerladon is wounded again! But it stands up, and...

Main Phase
Charges Calamity! It knocks him in the air (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1424427), and he crashes down for 8 damage! Then Orzel hits it for 2 damage! Then Fredricus slides underneath it and stabs it around where its heart should be (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1424447) for 5 damage!

Calamity's ribs are seriously hurting! But the Ungerladon is finally dead (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1424452)!

Fredricus manages to cut out its heart before it topples!

Pre-Main Phase
Dr Bath calls down the fury of his gods on Orzel for 2 damage!
(Right. EK's getting mauled, so these rolls are just for stats.)
Almighty Salmon (miss) 3 damage (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1431436), Fleeing Coward (hit) 3 damage
Heretic rushes at Fredricus, but van der Decken is in the way (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1431439)!

Round 20

Main Phase
Fredricus pounces upon the undefended Heretic (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1450032/), but his attack is only a scratch! (1 damage.) Captain van der Decken attacks with him (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1450033/), but Heretic sees it coming this time and dodges it!
Fleeing Coward and Almighty Salmon go for Fredricus, but the captain stands in their way! Fleeing Coward palm-strikes him for 3 damage, and Almighty Salmon gets a hit in (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1450035/)... for 1 damage.
Meynolds leaps at Heretic, but Heretic anticipates his attack and impales him in midair (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1450036/) for 3 damage!

Okay I know I said Saturday. Sorry.

@Dr Bath: You would've needed to deal 17 (8 times 2 plus one) in order to make him lose two lives.

Round 24

Main Phase
Calamity creeps along the edges of the arena. Its shadow betrays no secrets of his presence. He spies his target. Clutching a black leather sap, he stealthily makes his way forward, raises his weapon, and strikes (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460984/)!
...but Fredricus sees him! He warns his ally Captain van der Decken, who spins around and catches Calamity's arm! Calamity struggles, but he can't escape the captain's iron grip! The captain socks him (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460985/) for 2 damage! Fredricus also joins in, but Calamity twists this way and that and manages to avoid his slash (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460986/)! But then Meynolds, clearing the 15-foot distance in one leap, brings his heavy axe down (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460989/)...
and collides with Dr Bath's shoulder (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460991/)! The doctor had leapt at Meynolds in a mad attempt to stop the blow from landing (it still did 1 damage), but he crashed into the armor-y part of Meynold's get-up, knocking the wind out of him for a while but doing no damage!
Almighty Salmon and Fleeing Coward confront Fredricus, but the captain recieves both their blows! Almighty Salmon's (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460992/), he absorbs, but he takes 3 damage from Fleeing Coward!

But he also absorbs (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460993/)that blow! Calamity is similarly lucky (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1460994/)!

Main Phase
Calamity sweeps his sword at the captain (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1465594/) (REROLL: Decken's at 1d2 because of no Shield Other, so it auto-hits instead), cutting him some nasty wounds for 8 damage! But Fredricus suddenly leaps from behind his ally and bodily slams (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1465597/) into Calamity for 4 damage!
Fleeing Coward and Almighty Salmon both rush Meynolds! Fleeing Coward palm strikes him for 3 damage, but Meynolds shoves Salmon's attack (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1465587/) aside and retaliates against Fleeing Coward (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1465591/) for 2 damage! Round 28

Main Phase

Dr Bath, Almighty Salmon, and Fleeing Coward attempt to confront Fredricus, but it seems that Captain van der Decken has recovered, and is bodyguarding (is that a word) once more! Dr Bath and Fleeing Coward Iron Palm in tandem for 6 damage, and Almighty Salmon completes the triangle with a stab (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1470337/) that deals 5 damage! But the captain retaliates (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1470338/)and deals 4 damage to the doctor! And Fredricus backs him up with a spear thrust (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1470339/) for 4 more damage!

Captain van der Decken seems impervious (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1470340/)to pain! But not so (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1470341/) Dr Bath!
