How to optamize a ninja multiclass

I was toying around with multiclassing into the ninja class (CoA). So far I was thinking monk3/scout3/ninjaX. I was thinking on playing the character as a fast moving scout with good stealth. When battle was joined I would move in quickly to take out the enemy spellcasters with a combination of stunning, skirmish, and poisoning them. Any suggestions on optimizing this would be great, but if my plan sounds like complete crock, please let me know.

A friend of mine had a very effective multiclass ninja that was a ninja/cleric/black flame zealot. I think he was Ninja3/Cleric3. Then BFZ.

As for what you are going for, there is a feat, I wanna say Ascetic Stalker? It lets you stack ninja and monk levels and multiclass freely. There is swift ambusher to combine scout and rogue, if you could talk your DM into, perhaps create a swift stalker feat to allow the same effect but with Scout and Ninja?
