I love any music that is basically "Fight music".
You know what I am talking about. The music that you hear, and you jsut get so pumped that you are hopeing that someone swings at you. That aggressive music.

Post some good stuff here.
I will start, I guess.

Animals by Nickleback.
Prayer of the Refugee and the Good Left Undone by Rise Against.
Blade Theme Techno Remix by Rammstein
Those who fight further from the FF7 music.
Bleed It Out by Linkin Park.

Xkcd hold the answer to everything I say, everything!

Lot of them. And strangely, in various genre.

Too many to list actually. Once I imagined fighting people in a hall with classical music pieces as bgm. But most of them are really fight music from films, anime, or games.

On top of my head right now are (beside battle without honor or humanity and ride of the valkyries)...

-Various rhapsody of fire's song. They even got some song for final boss battle type

-Lux Triumphans from Rhapsody of fire.

-Neodamerrung from Matrix Revolution.

-Canta per me from Noir

-Duel of the Fates from Star Wars

Really, too many to list.

About everything by Atari Teenage Riot. Turning innocent rabbits into blood thirsty killers.

2007-12-10, 05:45 AM
Walk - Pantera made me want to hit someone the first time I heard it. 5 Minutes Alone also.

Fight Music - D12.

Duality - Slipknot.

We Are Godzilla You Are Japan - Lostprophets.

Punch Me I Bleed -Children of Bodom.

"Battlefield" - by Blind Guardian.
Nearly any song they do really, but that one fits especially.

Devil's Dance floor & Black Friday Rule by Flogging Molly

And nevermind hoping someone is going to fight you, Dropkick Murphys concerts always feature one hell of a mosh pit whenever Caught in a Jar starts up.

2007-12-10, 08:14 AM
"The Battle" from Gladiator.

'Nough said.

2007-12-10, 08:22 AM
Eye of the Tiger - Seriously this is a really good fight song.

2007-12-10, 09:56 AM
Pretty much anything else from the Black Mages is fight music from a Final Fantasy, just with an extra metric F-ton of Rock.

Rock Anthem for Saving the Universe by Marty O'Donnell is a favorite of mine from the first Halo Soundtrack.

2007-12-10, 11:00 AM
Lamb of God - "As the Palaces Burn"

and just about anything else by them.

The Vorpal Tribble
2007-12-10, 11:01 AM
Only a few currently come to mind...

Death Is the Road To Awe (especially towards the end) - Clint Mansell
Requiem For A Dream - Clint Mansell
Heirate Mich - Rammstein

I went through and listened to most these songs. I have to say, Flogging Molly is probaly the cheariest music that has ever made me want to get into a fight.

2007-12-14, 01:01 AM

Way of the Fist (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ9ZiRfT124) - Five Finger Death Punch

Yes, I listen to extremely hostile music. Yes, I have tremendous quantities of built-up anger and hatred. No, I will not put the crowbar down. :amused:

Die MF Die - Dope
Crush 'Em - Megadeth
Smack My Bitch Up - Prodigy
Battle Without Honour Or Humanity - Tomoyasu Hotel

Smack My Bitch Up - Prodigy

Very good one, and I'll add Breathe for the one-two combo.

Metallca's Master Of Puppets. Actually pretty much any classic Metallica will do.

The Toadies' Heel makes me either want to fight or f#$%, depending on what mood I'm already in.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Mortal Kombat Theme yet.

@ Surly Seraph- I was just coming on here to add I'm Shipping Up to Boston. Great song. I defy anyone to listen to the opening few riffs and not get ready to kick some serious ass.

yeah, some killer ones already there, but as my first official post I'd like to add some more.

Cathedral, Southern Man, Long Time Gone, Ohio, and Almost Cut My Hair by CSN(&Y). Not exactly harsh music, but you can't not listen to Cathedral and... (I'm going to finish their to avoid breaking forum rules). Likeways with the other several. Mother Russia by Rennesiance is simmilar.

Catherine of Aragon by Rick Wakeman
Acid Rain by LTE
Tom Sawyer by Rush
Ladies and Gentlemen Mr. Ryo Okumato on the Keyboards by Spocks Beard (Most baddass song evah)
School and The Logical Song by Supertramp
The first bit of Heart of the Sunrise by Yes is perfect for a nice bullet-time fight.
And then there's this... (http://www.ffclassic.net/music/nes/Battle_Scene.mp3)

Man in the box ~ Alice in Chains
Welcome to Dying ~ Blind Guardian
Dow With the Sickness ~ Disturbed
All My Life ~ Foo Fighters

Thats all I can think of at the moment, I'll have more soon.

2007-12-14, 05:04 PM
frantic by metallica and broken by twelve stones usually round out my beatdown playlist

2007-12-14, 06:52 PM
Let's Go- Trick Daddy, Lil Jon, and Twista

I didn't know the title of that song; I've been trying to find it for months. Thanks.

2007-12-14, 07:16 PM
Pantera - pretty much the entire Vulgar Display of Power album
Machine Head - pretty much everything, especially Block, Davidian, and Clenching The Fists Of Dissent
Hatebreed - everything
Strapping Young Lad - Oh My ****ing God, Happy Camper

that'll do for now

2007-12-14, 08:40 PM
I didn't know the title of that song; I've been trying to find it for months. Thanks.

No problem.

Doesn't the song make you want to hit someone? It's the only song I need!

For fight songs of the rap genre, definately look up DMX Lil Jon and Three 6 Mafia.

The lack of rap in these lists disgusts me

Agreed: I didn't have ac hance to post part two until now...unfortuantly you've already posted pretty much all of the ones I was going to. DISGUSTING.

With that said, plz add *** Tha Police by NWA, Fight The Power by Public Enemy (hell, pretty much anything by Public Enemy will do), and about half the songs off of The Blue Carpet Album by Snoop Dogg.

There is a good reason there is a lack of rap. Because it doesnt make good fight music (well, mostly. I did hear one, but I never knew what it was called)

But my favs are

-Omega Pirate Battle Theme: Metroid Prime OST
-Counting 5-4-3-2-1: Thursday

There are others, but I cant remember them.

That's gotta be the most incorrect thing I heard all day!
Rap is stereotyped as fight music.

I swear to god I'm going to choreograph the fight between MacDuff and Macbeth to Linkin Park's In the End (http://youtube.com/watch?v=oIwWqYSbzGA) someday...

2007-12-15, 06:04 AM
Oh, i forgot to mention Sabaton (http://www.myspace.com/sabaton1), although there songs are maybe better if you want to go to war, not fo you just want to fight.

Die Toten Hosen - Pushed Again (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_XAgAw7Mac&feature=related)

2007-12-15, 08:37 AM
-Canta per me from Noir

I usually don't think of this as a "fight song" (even though it was used for chases and gunfights), but it is one of the most gorgeous pieces of music I have ever heard, period (and I have heard a lot of music). Crank it up in the car when driving through hilly countryside....

I got a collection of soundtracks from video games and movies that I've pulled the fight music off of and play during combats when I run D&D. Does get the blood pumping.

I'm using AMVs because I want action to go along with the songs in this case...

Step Up (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Wr23JB-RtiY)- Drowning Pool

Superbeast- Rob Zombie

Bombshell (http://youtube.com/watch?v=rU-8sZ0iPw4) & When World Collide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81aJmjUK08s)- Powerman 5000 (Great for imagining explosions)

All Systems Go (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKFCoVCRhdc), Sweet revenge (http://youtube.com/watch?v=hfB6_EamFRU)- Krypteria

Menouthis- E.S Posthumus

Roberto's Theme (From Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps4oYET3IuU)- Hideyuki Fukasawa (of all the DoD songs this one's the best)

Juggernaut Bitch (http://youtube.com/watch?v=rT0Ezl6Awkg&feature=related)- Hollywood Cole (Great for smacking the hell out of things)

Red fraction (http://youtube.com/watch?v=dED7DWsTAYI)- Mell (near-incomprehensible Engrish, but the tune is rather... Slick)

Aaand... That's about it for now.

2007-12-16, 07:03 AM
Die Toten Hosen - Pushed Again (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_XAgAw7Mac&feature=related)
Good song, I agree. At the same time I'd like to propose Hier kommt Alex by the same band.

And anything by Arch Enemy or Amon Amarth works well too.

Plus, Stream of Consciousness by Dream Theater. I like instrumental fighting music.

2007-12-16, 07:59 PM
ok time for my sweet pump up music

fight song- Marilyn Manson
Dead Bodies Everywhere-korn
falling away from me-- korn
down in the park--Marilyn Manson

The Final Sacrifice from Avantasia: the Metal Opera Pt II.
Chalice of Agony from the same album.

A lot of Rhapsody songs qualify:
-The Dark Tower of the Abyss. That baroque opening is a winner.
-Erian's Mystical Rhymes. Using this as a final boss theme in my D&D campaign.
-Lux Triumphans
-Holy Thunderforce
-Dawn of Victory
-Agony is My Name
-Beyond the Gates of Infinity

After Omega:
-Fire in the Night
-Black-Haired Maiden
-After Omega This song's instrumental, so it's an ideal fight BGM.

Some Iron Saviour:
-Tyranny of Steel
-Condition Red

Machinae Supremacy (http://www.machinaesupremacy.com):

From Actual Video games:
-Searching for "The Answer" by Salamander Factory. (Super Robot Wars Original Generations) A good dark "boss theme."
-The Gate of Magus from the same game. Excellent fast-paced boss theme with baroque pipe organ sounds.
-Dark Prison also from SRW:OGs. More baroque orchestrated goodness.
Other good BGMs from the SRW saga:
-The Arrow of Destiny
-Marionette Messiah
-The Messenger of the Void

Other games:
-Plosive Attack from Parasite Eve. Downright intense.
-Femmes Fatales from Parasite Eve. It's not very intense; in fact it's quite soft for a boss theme. Still, I like the distorted soprano vocals that accompany it. (And it works excellently for the boss it represents)
-U.B. from Parasite Eve. Excellent, fast-paced techno boss theme with a chorus chanting in the background.

Guilty Gear:
I've always liked most of the music from this game, as cheesy as it can be.
My favorites:
-Holy Orders ~ Be Just or Be Dead~ Baroque + metal = win in my book.
-Writhe In Pain. See above.
-Still in the Dark's also pretty awesome.
-Awe of She. The older GGX version has a chorus in the opening, but they removed that for the later versions of the game. I prefer the one with the chorus.
-The Midnight Carnival. This is the final stage BGM. Gotta love how they shred in this song. (There are actually two versions of this song. The version that went into the Korean version of the game was a completely different song and was much slower. I'm referring to the Japanese version.)

2007-12-18, 03:53 PM
A couple more obvious ones:

More Human Than Human

Head Like A Hole

Several of the songs from Highlander...

and of course We Will Rock You

How could I forget my favourite fighting music, by the Beatsteaks:

Me Against the World. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiytlWaafZA)

Frieda und die Bomben. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWhZsujI6sU)
