Is it just me, or is everyone's forum clock 10 minutes slow?

Yes. It's also 10 minutes slow for me. It's been like this awhile, I believe.

yeah, it gets off a lot...last time one of these threads popped up it was seven minutes. I think it was fixed, but I guess it's just a slow clock.

Also, is the clock that critical? I mean can't everyone look at the one on their taskbar?

For realtime updates, sure. But now and then you'd like some accuracy in the post timestamps. Y'know, so you can be sure what your friends were posting at exactly 8:30 p.m. last Tuesday, or something like that.

Are you trying to live up to your reputation as a stalker or something?

Hey, what's the use of such a reputation otherwise. :smallwink:

BTW—You're on my "to-follow" list, now. :P

Yeah, but those threads all be dead.

And the current 10-minute difference is two minutes slower than that last 8-minute difference. So we can take that as an indicator that the whole thing is on its way from "way off" to "downright broken." And that probably merits renewed discussion.

Matters of less importance have certainly been discussed before... :smallamused:

I think it was completely accurate once during the summer.

The slow clock is annoying, but it isn't of crucial importance.

Like why "Matters" is plural and therefore agrees with "have" rather than "has"? :smallwink:

Well, what can I say? I have not been called a TYRANT for days and have not received much hate mail this week....

Hmmm, which reminds me; anyone seen Jasdoif around?

It could have been worse. Another forum I frequent has a clock that's been getting progressively farther behind for years - until finally it's now about an hour off, and I can correct it (for a while) by pretending to live in the next timezone west. And they refuse to even discuss possibilities for fixing it.

The service that's supposed to keep the time up to date keeps falling over. I believe it happens during the high load times. Considering that keeping the server running is more important than a slightly inaccurate clock, the problem is rather meh.
