I vote 4th level. Players like the extra ability point.

Personally I think 6th to 12th is the most 'fun' so I vote somewhere in there. =)

I like 1st through 5th personally. anywhere in there is my 'sweet spot' for really hard challanges

after that it gets fun..but in a 'we are near god-like to a commoner' kinda way.

4th sounds good.

You should make a vague outline of a schedule, so you know each area we are voting on. (there'd have to be a lot of voting)

I think one of the important things to do from the beginning is the feel. Like, really scary, carefree/funny, generic, slightly dark, gruesome, 'wee adventure', etc. Could do that next.

4th gets my vote. Nice level.

4th, or 5th. Makes you just on the cusp of achieving a cool PrC, and also gives you an extra ability point to play around with.

So fourth.

What tone of the adventure. (dark, gritty, comedy, classic eg)
Classic

Certainly not comedy. Players and DMs make their own comedy at the table. They don't need our lame jokes (my jokes of course are great :smallcool: ).

I vote for dark classic - defeating the plans corrupt officials and cultists among a society of elitist <insert usually good-aligned race here>.

Dark, I just like dark...

Dark, but not gritty

Dark-ish. Not too dark. And there has to be little grit. And I like classic. So I guess I say dark-gritty-classic.

I vote for 8th level. At this point, you've got a choice; Do I stick with a single base class, dip into multiclass, or get a nice PRC going? Wizards have obtained their 4th level (and most unique) spells, Rangers & Fighters are running at their prime, people are powerful but you can challenge them in realisitc ways with crowds of enemies.

I vote for a noble quest to destroy a horde of monsters that are in danger of overrunning the kingdom if their reinforcements arrive. A wargame with lots of very tactical hack n' slash.

*Noob alert! I just joined the forums today*

Ok, now that that's out of the way, here's my question:

Are we talking about making a campaign here, for all of us to play in on the forums? Or are we coming up with campaign ideas to use in our respective campaigns. Just curious.

We are all participating in the creation of a campaign through a voting-like process.

Oh alright. Well, I'm not sure if my vote counts, but I say 4th-5th level, since you get the handy-dandy ability point at 4th.

Could be either. Feel free to use ideas I'd say. I'd be up for running the adventure once we finish it.

Hmmm...adventure ideas.

Let's see...

How bout this:

61+35+7 together.

That's an island at the center of a lake is actually the top of a submerged fortress, and Sahuagin are being sent out of the lake to attack coastal villages. There is a Sahuagin cult situated inside of it kidnapping potential sacrifices, for the purpose of summoning Dagon to the material plane.

I think it'd be great to have a campaign running on the forums. I've only ever played face-to-face table-top games. We could all use Skype/Ventrillo/Whatever else voice and/or video programs we can think of to play. I think that'd be totally fun.

There are games going on in the rp section of the forum. You could also post on the "looking for a game/players/dm" thread. Can't recall the title of the thread right now. It's stickied at the top of the section I believe.

Anywho, Icewalker's idea sounded cool. I second it.
