Hey guys, this is my first attempt at a design contest. I don't think it'll be that great but the only way to get better is practice.

Jiraya
Upon arrival the island of Jiraya is a formidable sight. Sheer rock cliffs topped by what looks like lush forests stare at you mockingly as if to say “Good luck getting up here.” After chasing this moving island for what seems like day you now have to find a way onto it. There is only one beach on the entirety of the island and its 30ft wide and surrounded by 200 ft sheer rock cliffs that would give even the most experienced climber trouble. Once on the beach a cave can be scene that will lead to the top of the island. This tunnels exits into a lush forest full of pleasant smells and the cackling of animals who are transparent to the concept of danger. They don’t even look in your direction.
From the sky you can see the true shape of Jiraya. A simple ovular shape the island is cut into distinct regions based on terrain types. The out edge surrounding the entire island is lush forest completely covered by a canopy of trees. This canopy extends from the edge of the island about 1 mile inward is immediately cut off to give reign to a desolate, rocky area surrounding three mountains lined up next to each other. Concentrated around the central and tallest mountain and getting sparser the farther away you move are what seems like glimmering gems from the air, glimmering gems that move around as if they have a conscious. In the early morning they all concentrate in one spot directly to the north of the central mountain and then disperse over the day. These gems even reflect the moonlight and as so are visible at night. The mountain look just like normal mountains except when looking from the ocean, the central mountain seems like it grows taller then shrinks over the course of an hour, as if the island was taking large breathes.
The climate is pseudo-tropical. It is very warm during the day and chilly at night. It rains once a week on the island, and it rains at the same time, for the same amount of time. Moreover, it only rains on the forest. A donut-shaped cloud can be seen forming right before the rain and not a drop touches the rocky area. During the rain is the only time that the island stops moving and the best time to get onto the island unless you can fly.
The fauna in the forest is just like any other forest. Apes are very easily spotted and hawks are a common occurrence. Leopards and many kinds of lizards can be seen in the trees. Occasionally a tiger will be seen but are very rare. Insects of all kinds also inhabit this jungle. Although there are animals everywhere, only stronger animals dare go near the rocky inner of the island and not even the strongest would set foot onto the rocks. The rocky area is for one group and one group only, the Ferritas. Birds from the nearby islands often make the mistake of flying to Jiraya and landing in the rocky area. None of them leave.
Once through the forest you decide to make your way to one of the mountains for a little more exploring. You take a step from the foliage covered jungle to a rock in front of you. A howl that would make even the bravest men cower in terror erupts from your left. You turn your head and see it, a shining figure charging at you full speed. You ready your sword and brace yourself but the figure stops about 20 ft in front of you. You can see now that the shining you saw is just the reflection of light off of this beast. It resembles a wolf but walks on two feet. You take a few more steps into the rocky area keeping your sword steady and your distance equal. The beast in front of you doesn’t make a sound. It’s eerily quiet. You feel a warm breathe on your neck just before the feeling of teeth tears at your neck and you are thrust to the ground. Just before you die you see that at least 20 more of those glittering creatures were right behind you, and you didn’t even know.

The Ferritas
The Ferritas, or Iron Ones, are a race of humanoid wolves created by Asmodeus himself. They live only to protect the secrets of the island of Jiraya. Their civilization is very militaristic with a single ruler, the Alpha male. People who come up against these vicious looking creatures should be wary not only of the sharp claws and rows of teeth that these creatures brandish but also of their keen intellect. The creatures can be very silent and are masters at setting ambushes.
Personality
The Ferritas are a very quiet race until they are in danger. There is little to no communication between any of the creatures except for the sound off in the morning hours. Other races are hated by the Ferritas as they were created to despise and destroy any person or race other than theirs. Once in danger their demeanor changes as howls and barks erupt from their very soul calling their hundreds of kin to their aid. Only after a gruesome battle can you see the true caring of the Ferritas as they care for their wounded and cry for their dead as they bury them in the nearby forests, the only time they will ever venture into territory that is not theirs. Ferritas do not eat, there are provided the energy to survive and procreate through the will of Asmodeus. They are on the island for only one purpose, to protect what it hides.
Physical Description
The Ferritas are large creatures standing two to four feet taller that the average human. They appear very bulky due to their muscle mass and fur. Two rows of teeth adorn their wolf-like head including the protruding snout. Blood red eyes appear on every single member of the race. Their most defining characteristic is the reflection of light that flashes off them due to their iron fur. A fur made of dead ironclad cells that give these animals a formidable natural defense. To compliment their fur iron covered claws adorn their hands capable of shredding through the toughest of skin. The creatures are very fast and very brutal when intruded upon or threatened.
Organization
A very militaristic group, the Ferritas are very strict in the way their society is run. Every morning at first sun the entire race meets in front of the Alpha’s cave in perfect straight lines with the exact same distance between lines. You can tell the Alpha right away because of his size (usually the tallest Ferritas) and because of the lion-like mane around his head that only the Alpha has, not to mention everyone in the crowd is facing him. In order of seniority each Ferritas gives off his or her call followed at the very end by the Alpha. If one is missing the entirety of the race will shoot of in predetermined “family” groups to their predetermined search spot for the missing. If all are there, the Alpha dismisses the group with a thunderous roar that can be heard across the entire island and all go to their posts for the day.
Environment
The Ferritas live in the rocky center of Jiraya mostly congregating around the central peak of the mountain triad. Watch posts have been set up around the area and no member is allowed to leave the rocky area except to bury one of their dead in the much softer soil of the surrounding forests. At night all Ferritas just pick a place on the ground to sleep except for the Alpha, who is the only member of the race who sleeps in the cave at the base of the central mountain.
Religion / Alignment
The Ferritas practice no religion but look up to Asmodeus as a father figure and do all that he says. They would never go against his word. Asmodeus will only talk to the Alpha of the group when he has an assignment for his brood. The Ferritas don’t bother with alignment because they will destroy anyone regardless of alignment if they trespass on the island.

Sacred Fire
A black flame erupting from a golden core of unknown composition actually lacks any heat at all. In fact, to touch the orb the sensation felt would be described as anything but hot. As the fire of the soul of the one who touched the flame is sucked from their writhing body and bitter cold unlike anything ever felt would take over. Struck deaf, dumb, and blind, the only image he would see is that of a human figure set ablaze smiling and laughing, raising his hands in praise toward him. Then blackness would set in as he left the world of the living, for he has just freed the god imprisoned in this island, by giving him a capsule with which to escape. This treasure is hidden in the central mountain of Jiraya, guarded by an entire race.

Tabernacle of Yesterday
A small wooden box located in the western mountain on Jiraya. It produces an antimagic field in a 200ft radius around the box.

Oracle of Tomorrow
A small hexagonal clear prism located in the eastern mountain on Jiraya. Whoever holds the Oracle of Tomorrow gains Invisibility.

Secrets
A God of fire tried to slay Asmodeus. Tried…and failed. Now he swims endlessly in the oceans, hardened and cold, known only as “the one who failed to slay Asmodeus.” He is about to be rediscovered.

If an adventurer can make it past the Ferritas and into the Alpha’s cave he must then find a way through the maze of caves to the treasure at the top of the mountain. Luckily this route is easier than getting to the treasures on the other mountains. As soon as a foot touches the cavern the ground begins to tremble. Up from the earth springs a statue of what seems to be a human child only this statue is moving, and beckons the adventurer to follow it. After following the statue for about a day the adventurer will come upon a small shrine atop which lies a black flame.

He appears as the one who freed him with one difference…his eyes are engulfed in flames. He cannot return to his true form until he escapes his island prison and that means getting past the Ferritas, not the easiest feat, especially for a weakened god. A wisp of fire erupts from his hand and takes the form of a whip. “Vengeance” escapes his lips before he tears out of the cave to make his escape.

The Door of the Present
If the Oracle of Tomorrow is inserted into the Tabernacle of Yesterday a great rift will open above the tabernacle. This rift leads into Hell, specifically to Asmodeus. This is how the god originally found a way into Asmodeus’ area.
