You're just sore because a rich playboy with a rubber suit and a chip on his shoulder the size of Boston couldn't beat an immortal demigod of evil, who incinerates people with his touch, bathes in a volcano and is technically older than the universe (Ainur yo) I assure, the Sauron of LOTR and the Silmarillion is the same as the one in our brains. Unfortunately, Tolkien's great genius with Sauron, his vague, undefined, faceless, nameless fear, is also what makes him horrible for VS threads. That's why we have to extrapolate a lot of stuff.
