In the spirit of Christmas, my DM ran a special christmas themed adventure. One Foggy Krampus Eve (http://members.aol.com/countrygrrlhere/ofke.htm) an adventure for a game called Razor in the Apple, which she converted for True20.
Razor in the Apple is a game in which the player characters are children, fighting monsters that only children can see. There are several classes based on archtype. The nerd, the outcast, the jock, the bully, etc. Unlike real life, you get to choose what type of parents you will have. You also get a toy that gives special abilities if you use imagination points to activate it.
My character was Smeagol. Nerd archtype, hippie parents. My toy was a plastic replica of the One Ring, using the rules for the security blanket (which makes you invisible to monsters if you put it over your head, but not to anyone else). :smalltongue:
The link is to the session journal that my DM always writes for all of the games she runs.
