This is a type of imagination exercise,and a way to make awesome settings. It is common on rpg.net and I thought it would be fun here. These are the rules.
1). The thread starter, i.e. me, starts out the thread with a seed idea.
In this case it is the buffyverse extended to japan, especially Tokyo.
2). Everyone then takes turns inventing and adding details of their own in an attempt to flesh out the setting and make it suitable for gaming in.
3). You only add a single idea at a time. No back-to-back posting either, although you can post multiple ideas over the course of the thread. You simply have to wait and give others a turn in between. Ideas don't necessarily have to be single-sentence short, but don't go on for pages either.
4). Nobody can condradict another person's ideas. All ideas stand.
Things like robots, power armor, and some other items of unnaturally advanced technology are okay but the traditional mythology should be represented.
You can build off of other people's concepts, or you can ignore them and add something else, but you can't refute them or undermine them.
