Skill Points Each Level 2 + INT mod
Class Features
All of the following are class features of a Divine Battlemaster prestige classs.
Hit Die: D10
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Divine Battlemaster gains no armor or weapon proficiencies.
Spellcasting- At each new level in which a Divine Battlemaster gains spellcasting, the Divine Battlemaster can choose to increase the spell casting of one of his divine spell casting classes by 1, as if he had taken a level of the divine spell casting class.
Improved Smiting (Su)- At 1st level, a Divine Battlemaster gains the ability to add their charisma bonus to all attack and damage rolls on any Smite Good or Smite Evil attempts.
Divine Prowess(Su)- For the purposes of determining class level for Divine Battlemaster effects or abilities, as well as for Smite attempts, Turn attempts, and for the progression of the Paladin Special Mount, all Paladin and Divine Battlemaster levels stack.
Smite-(Su) Divine Battlemasters gain a number of Smite Good or Smite Evil (depending on alignment) attempts per day, as a Paladin and as noted in Table: Divine Battlemaster.
Aura of Protection(Su)- A Divine Battlecasters Aura of Good or Aura of Evil becomes such a potent, tangible force, that a Divine Battlecaster gains Spell Resistance equal to their Divine Spellcaster level against harmful spells and spell like effects that have the Divine Battlemaster as a target. A “harmful” effect is any effect that the Divine Battlemaster does not want cast on him.
Dispelling Smite(Su)- A Divine Battlemaster’s dedication to his cause is so great that he even gains the power to expend one of his Smite attempts for the day to instead make a dispelling smite roll. A dispelling smite can remove a number of effects on a target equal to the Divine Battlemasters charisma bonus and acts as a Dispel Magic use, with the exception of instead of rolling a normal dispel check (D20 + Caster Level) roll a D20 + Divine Battlemaster/Paladin levels + Charisma Bonus. This can even function in the different ways a regular dispel magic works, including area dispels (dispelling a number of effects equal to the Divine Battlemasters charisma bonus), but a Dispelling Smite cannot function as a Counterspell. Because a Dispelling Smite is a deities gift to his Divine Battlemaster to aid in their service, a Dispelling Smite can dispel any mortals or non-Epic creatures spell effect that hinders him in any way, even force effects, assuming the Dispel check exceeds the required DC.
Divine Interference-(Su) Divine Battlemasters share such a close bond with their patron deity that they can attempt a number of times per day equal to their Divine Battlemaster level, to reroll any failed fortitude or will saves. As well, this power allows the Divine Battlemaster to roll a will save against any spell or spell like effect that has him as a target if the spell does not normally allow a save, a number of times per day equal to his Divine Battlemaster level. This includes rolls to avoid Divinations like Scrying and Foresight.
Greater Aura of Protection(Su)- A Divine Battlemasters Aura of Protection becomes such a potent defense against hostile spells and spell like effects that the Spell Resistance gained from the Aura of Protection applies even to harmful spells and spell like effects that do not normally allow spell resistance. Greater Aura of protection applies to any divination attempts to locate or predict the actions of the Divine Battlemaster, such as Scrying or Foresight.
Greater Divine Interference(Su)- When a Divine Battlemaster attains this ability, their relationship with their deity becomes so close that the line between divine intervention and everyday crusading blur. A Divine Battlemaster with this ability can expend one of his Smite attempts for the day to add his Divine Battlemaster level as a Divine Bonus to any Fortitude, Reflex or Will Save. He must declare that use of this ability before rolling the save.
Conduct- A Divine Battlemaster must always act in their Deities interest. They may never willfully commit an act that grossly violates their Deities alignment or commands. Failure to conduct themselves in a way befitting their deity will result in a loss of all Divine Battlemaster class features until they Atone as per the spell.
