There is a point though, we get a lot of requests to summarise small portions of the storyline from confusion, and there's a lot of people who go the whole hog (Never understood that phrase) and read the entire archive. It would really cheapen the endeavour if we just gave a summary of all the intricacies of the plot to every Tom, ****, and Harry (Or, if you prefer, Tara, Diane, and Harriet) that asked.

But then, Entangle is a Drd, Plant, Rgr spell, so you were probably a Cleric (Since I very much doubt you'd be a Druid and Ranger doesn't seem to fit), which would also tie back into the "Circle of Life" dealy that being Death incarnate comes with.

Keris exists only in plot 3 as of now. Also, both Tajira and Schizotech have advanced technology,(I actually had lying add schizotech awhile before you joined to explain how we had some sci-fi stuff.

Well, before Nameless Died, he specialised in The Darkness Element, Necromancy, Evocation Magic (attack spells such as magic missle), And Transportation spells such as teleportation and opening up portals which I think comes under Conjuration.
Ofcors, now after he died, he had to learn a different type of magic which has the same result has Human Magic, but works differently and is more powerfull, in other words I'm using this as an escuse to do whatever spell I like without haveing to explain it all. :smalltongue:

Maybe it's like this in terms of the 3 High-tech nations in FFF
Helina: Never lost their technology when the rest of the world did.
Schizotech: Has discovered some technology from Plot 3 era and developed from that, in addition to developing technology on their own, meaning that in some ways they are late-industrial revolution levels of tech, and in others they are sci-fi.
Tarijia:Wasn't around during Plot 3 and has developed technology on it's own since then.

Maybe Helina managed to avoid the anti-technology crusade (or whatever) by hiding all their technological knowledge in a vault or time capsule of some sort, hidden just before Helina's tech was taken out and programmed to reveal itself a hundred years or so later, so Helina kept it's technology working with the complete picture, unlike Schizotech which found some stuff that was left over and had to reverse-engineer that stuff, leading to their disjuncted technology (They have Lasers, energy sheilds and Robots (not quite Humungous Mecha, but they can get somewhat big), but they don't have wireless telephones, radar, or Jet-propulsion engines)

The Catcylsm (or Golgotha, or whatever) was immense. It was a carefully planned event to bring magic back to the world in vast quantities.
All futuristic ABR tech is BC in origin, but there are working pieces. Like Fort Longcat. And Keris's gear. (He will turn up. I've just been busy. >_> )

Helia: Never loses its tech (according to boomwolf)
Schizotech: having rediscovered some tech
Tarijia: having developed it's own tech
All these work with one another, but they don't work with the Eita or Keris's explinations
Eita: the G-somthing destroyed all tech
Keris: No new tech has been built since the cataclysm.

Now, in terms of real-world chronology, Schizotech and Tarijia came first, so adapting Eita or Keris's explination would be a ret-con (well, technically we havn't said that Schizotech or Tarijia didn't just develope tech on their own, so we could use Eita's explination).

Either way, everybody needs to be able to give some ground here, but lets get this settled.

Maybe the Helian Time Capsule was magically protected, with the Helians putting it up knowing that magic was the only way to protect it, or maybe they intentionally recorded it on low-tech materials, using lazers to inscribe it on stone slabs or somthing. I don't know what the Golgonath thingy is, but I think that may survive it.
Maybe the Salvaged Schizotech Technology was the result of a few magical dabblers (Remember, magic does exist pre-cataclysm, just not very much) preserving a few pieces from the golgonath, explaining the Schizian's limited understanding of technology, they build lasers by mimicing the preserved examples without really understanding anything more than the absolute basics.
Edit: ah, I see, In which case it all makes sense. Eita, can you accept those explinations for how some stuff survived the Golgonath?

Esentially, Schizotech and Helia had tech that survived, Helia's tech was preserved through some clever method (such as the use of low-tech recording methods) and Schizotech got bits and pieces preserved more or less by accident, leading to the patchwork technology ("Sergent, feed more coal into the sheild generator").
Tarijia proably preserved theirs as well, or just developed it on their own with help from ins and mad rodent skillz.
Edit: Insanely specific, such as recording it on slabs of rock or having a few pieces potentially survive by chance, perhaps the Golgatha didn't work as well in some places for some reason (distance or climate or plotgoblins or somthing)

I can probably do some explaining on Tajira.

Firstly, look at the original starting point of the Pikalites. They're Arcanian creations. This naturally places them in a position where they are surrounded by a significant level of development, albeit in magical rather than technological capacities.

Next, we can see from recent Remember comic 33, that they didn't know that they had Tongues cast permanently on their members, because they clearly didn't know that they had their own innate language (The infamous "Chu" utterance). This means they probably didn't have many (If any) spellcasters among their 800 refugees when they first landed on the then-unpopulated island of Tajira.

So, they've lived in a world where a lot of high tech issues are taken care of with high magic. But now they don't have magic to do it all. Fortunately, Pikalites were common in a lot of industrial and blue collar jobs in Arcania (Judging from their appearances as chefs and waiter personnel, but they were probably prevalent in a lot of tasks where Medium-sized humans would have difficulty. Their first Emperor, Ari Chu, ran Ari's Buffet, which would require a distinct knowledge of business and marketing which shows a definite intelligence).

They've already escaped the Fall of Arcania, so we know that they're problem solvers to get past soldiers, arrows, dragons, and the falling bodies of their compatriots. Amidst 800 people the odds that they lucked out are very very slim.

So, they set about building new devices to get back what they've lost with the Fall, they make a whole slew of advancements in technology imitating magic. Add a few hundred years and we basically have the kind of leap experienced by Japan between their trade opening in the 1800s and modern times.

If a certain inbalance is created in the binded magic, it has to be precise, one of the souls is reincarnated as an Arcane Incarnation, with all their memories and everything. However, almost always, the balance of soul bound arcane magic results in the creation of an Arcane Incarnation, except as a totally different consciousness. With free will, and full knowledge of what both dead casters knew.

The scenario where I become an Arcane Incarnation will be detailed in my backstory comic.

It, as well as the arcane war, are NOT contrasted to your plan and idea, both can coexist.
The arcane war IS the event where technology left the world (Golgotha you called it?), its was a war between the technological nations, and the arcane forces. (magic users.) in one reality the arcane won bu invoking the Golgotha thing.
In the other the technologists won, they simply killed all arcanists before they managed to invoke the Golgotha thing.
At the after-timescrew reality nobody won, both forces were jest too weak to keep fighting, technology died out with nearly nobody remembering how to use it, and magic flourished as some sources of magic are natural. (sorcerers for example.) and jest happened without anyone doing it, what left a great opening for wizards and other "learning casters" to learn from.

Jest a nitpick-before the arcane war helina was not chaotic, but a law-enforcing megaforce.

And Eita-both helina, and its technology has been inserted into ABR slightly before you joined. (on map, and a little helinan technology non-plot drawing.) so please do not interfere with it. I think keris was not in ABR in that time as well. I got the premature rights, don't force me to invoke them.

Go to the node edit tool

As to joining, just get up to speed on the plot and draw yourself meeting the other characters.

@V: Oh if I only knew how to make a flash game, but no, neither. It has something to do with a remade game... I'm not making any promises when or if it will be finished though so don't expect much.

On a completely unrelated note: Keris, if you group (ctrl + g) the objects that make up a stick figure, when you change the master capasity, you won't see the objects on the far side (like the holster) or the lines coming through.
