Extra notes: Houses are on average 20 feet high (just use that average figure all over the house), hay piles are up to 10 feet high against the walls. And, I don't care whether you're immune to sanctuary effects, you are not immune to the arena's sanctuary effect. Creatures summoned during the 1st round are also affected by the sanctuary effect.

Well I figured... if the Hay Bales are 10 feet tall, and the Roof is 20 feet up... Someone needs to write rules for that.

No climbing on hay unless The_Chilli_God says so, and he doesn't.

I can see climbing on bails of hay, but that would be pretty difficult to hide in. Thus I'm thinking its just a dense pile of hay.

Not when you asked. theterran's actions were prefaced with the assumption of a lack of LOS. Since there was LOS, she needed to redo a portion of her action. Play was correct as posted.

And in response to Neftren, there is a feat out there that allow a level 1 wizard to cast second level spells.

He's using an idea that I came up witha while back with a mage called Illustria. You take Precocious Apprentice from Complete Arcane. For a second 2nd level spell slot you take the Elven racial substitute for Wizard from Races of the Wild. The substitution level allows you to have an additional slot for the highest level spell you can cast (in this case a 2nd level spell). :smallbiggrin:

Bah, your still not min-maxing it enough.

You need to throw on the feat that allows you to use lower level spell slots to cast higher level spells, and then make all your 1st and 0th level spells into 2nd level spells as well. I actually thought about doing that with Z for awhile, but it would've meant I'd have to lose all my summoning feats.

That would be Versatile Spellcaster from Races of the Dragon. And I'm working one up, just trying to decide on the 2nd level spell.

edit: and you can't use 0 level slots to cast a 2nd level spell

Actually, I like the way the feats were done here, with +4 CL for fire spells, and a 5d6 ref half. Nobody has evasion at level 1, so you've got guaranteed damage. 18, 9 on a save. 2 castings should take care of anyone, if they're back to back, and the target's not elan.

Provided you passed your saves :)

And casting would be a bit hard, as it's a level 2 spell. Not impossible, but hard. And if most are going through the trouble of getting a 2nd level spell, it won't be defensive in nature... heh
