a messup on inkscape

for some reason. when i try and use the make selected segments curves it doesnt work.:smallconfused:

That's odd. Ususally all you need to do is click on the segment where you want to bend and it will curve for you. Can you describe the problem in more detail?

Is your shape a path (that is, can you see all the nodes when you click on it with the node tool)? If your shape is an object drawing with a tool like a rectangle or a circle, you can turn it into a path with the "Object to Path" option under the Path menu.

I have that problem as well, usually selecting something else or doing something else and then gets it back to work.
Or you can also use the circles on the squares which declares the angle.(sorry if thats a bit complicated).
So say you have line, two diamonds at each end, click one and there should be a circle almost the same size of the diamond on top of the other end of the line(the other diamond).

move one of the squares a little, that kaes it work...the trouble is that it is a perfect straight line (and if you make an object out of lines then the first one will not be curvable unless you make it a little curve at first) .
