View Full Version : ·YORN·: The Life and Lies of the Ultimate Archmagus ["Postponed"]

There were always Heroes of Prophecy. The first taught by the gods themselves, the job of finding proceeders to the position as Heroes of Prophecies and actually writing the Prophecy was always what the Magus of Prophecy did after retirement... or death. Four hundred years ago, a old Grevondelmonok laid on his deathbed, desperate to find the next Heroes of Prophecy. Soon, he discovered the ones he was looking for: a young to-be Daggersleighter, a young to-be Grand Bishop, a young to-be Archmagus, a young to-be Mountain Razer, and a young to-be Invoker stood before him. They were trained, and by the age of ten, were solving local mysteries and stopping minor criminals. Soon afterwards, they defeated a to-be Villain of Prophecy at the age of 32. Days afterwards, Grevondelmonok died with his last breath.
But this story is not of the Heroes of Prophecy. No, it is not. It is of an old man... an old man recalling his memories of that one, peculiar young to-be Archmagus — the one who became known as YORN.

Updates are random, though I will attempt to do at least two issues a week. Three is guaranteed if I don't have a lot of homework and/or am not feeling lazy. :smalltongue:
Artwork will become better as time progresses on. I'll try to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Plot to come in next two issues. Revealing of what this whole story's about? Nah, not today.

Note to readers: The proper way to spell YORN's name is with all caps and bold. Do so whenever possible. Oh, and the next issue is coming soon. Title? "Intervention." :smallwink:

Strange fact: the personalities of my DMs are really just modified versions of people I know in real life. I take their bad jokes, make them worse, and force them into the comic. :smallamused:

Looks like it could be funny, but the two strips so far show us little of plot and the like. And by little I mean more or less nothing. Keep going, hard to get a read on the comic yet.

It slightly bothers me that the old guys arms arent showing.

They're inside his robe when he's not using them.

And that he hasnt got feet or legs or whatever he should move on....

They're hidden underneath his robe. I really have it drawn under there.

I had guessed that as a plausible explination, but it still seems creepy.

Meh. I've decided to add arms to Mr. Old Man anyways.

I really hope more people respond this time. I want as many readers as possible. Plus, I might make some banners for next time.

Ugh... what is it about me that makes people avert their attention from my comic? Apparently, even the worst-drawn comics I've seen so far have gotten more reviews and comments than I have. Is it the title? :smallconfused:

Maybe it was only a three hour period and it also is early?

Maybe people just aren't looking at new comics?

I dunno.

Hmm, this seems to be getting good... storyline revealing will be delayed at the rate my mind is pumping out these ideas.

Please keep making these and breaking the forth wall!

I'm afraid that the Characters are going to be too afraid to break the fourth wall for a while over the next few issues. Why, you ask? Then read on.

Hi-LAR-ious, but the red stuff makes his head look like it's been cracked open. It looks very bloody.

Your comic is also a little confusing. I suggest.......never mind. I have no suggestions. Just keep up the good work.

Bitzeralisis

Well, it's actually fire.

And it's supposed to be confusing. Or, at least, I'm confusing. In fact, I'm just jumping from random topic to topic writing things I think would be funny but end up not anyways. I'm starting to doubt the topic I have planned for #6, too... most of this is nonsense right now. Once I get organized, though, I'm finally going to get to work on the main attraction of my comic. The part about YORN, ya know. (But don't think what I have right now is unimportant! It's actually very important, the importance of which you will not realize until weeks after issues after the beginning of the part about not-kid YORN which is still very far away...)

In other words, I'm vague and confusing. And I'm proud to be so. :smalltongue:

I like the comic, But Jack has somthing to say.I Cautioned him against it, even warned him that it may start an Arcane trash talking session of epic proportions, but he insisted. He also threatened to turn me into a Meatball Sub.

Oh, Jack is in for it. :smallevilamused:

Plus, I know my storyline is very blurry, mysterious, and seemingly pointless. To make it even more blurry, mysterious, and seemingly pointless, I'm ending this little "introduction" and going back in time to when YORN was just a little kiddy. But first, the closing to Part Zero:
