Integral to the campaign I'm making are the Brothers of Narn. Years ago the elven brothers Elrich and Glorfindel Armorsmith saw their home ravaged by humans and orcs. Elrich was too naive and, well... virgin... to understand what the orcs did, but he inherited his brother's zeal against humans. Glorfindel finished his wizard training and now travels the world as Glorfindel the Flaming, seeking vengance against the humans who betrayed his people and seeking genocide against the orcs. Elrich was shipped to the hidden elven city of Narn, where he learned to hunt humans, hide among humans, kill humans, track humans... humans are who he hunts.

Here's the help I need:

Glorfindel the Flaming is a blaster wizard, yes I know, not great... but it's what fits flavorwise. He chose to ban Transmutation and Necromancy, banning Necromancy because he hated the idea of defiling the dead and Transmutation because he believes, as an elf of his village, that everything has its natural design and that transmutation (though not the other schools) goes against that natural order. He uses fire (SHOCK!) most of the time, and is generally an awe-inspiring presence. He got his name because all of his clothes save his heavy black cloak were enchanted with Continual Flame, as well as his sword, so when he casts his cloak off it looks as if he's on fire.

Elrich of Narn hunts humans alongside his brother, tracking and then, yeah, assassinating them.

Elrich of Narn is CG (he only kills 'evildoers') and Glorfindel the Flaming is CN (as well as slightly psychotic).

Please give me a good build so when my PCs face this duo they're in trouble.

Elrich sounds like he might be an Urban Ranger (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#rangerVariantUrbanRang er) while Glorfindel might be Fire (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#fireDomain) Domain Wizard (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#wizardVariantDomainWiz ard) which gives him a few extra themed spells to throw around.

You could try some of the Evoker (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/specialistWizardVariants.htm#evokerVariants) varients, as well.

Not very original, but I loathe even touching the non-core books for this sort of stuff. :smallwink:
