Well, initiative is yours. Since your not going to use ranged weaponry and the blasted shield has so far been more of an annoyance then a help, I'm gonna leave my tower shield in the bank deposit.

I updated my character sheet with items bought. If your curious about what I purchased since my last match, it is listed on both the items list as the records on the bottom of the sheet.

With that said, may the best gladiator win.

Success. I use it to affiliate with a gorilla and adopt its strength (+4 str bonus as bull strength spell)
I move to G13 while dropping the stone as a free action (square doesn't matter, its just a useless stone/gem now) and draw my dorje during the move

I take it since you are beneath the surface, you can't see all that far outside of the water. If you are capable of keeping an LoS, then you lose me out of sight when I move to the small bridge behind the post

I assume that, although the post is round, it is acounted as a square building for the matter of whether of cover and moving around corners right?
If that is so, I move 5ft back to G12. Then I activate my dorje.
As a move action, I put my dorje away in the holster on the backside of my pants.
then as a free action, I put my second hand on the guisarme.

Woohoo! I clear the distance, which means it is an uninterrupted straight line (jumping is part of movement) so that makes this a charge.

I'm pretty sure that you need to move 20ft in the direction that you are jumping in order for the DC per distance to be reduced. If that's the case you probably splashed down in the water somewhere. I'll go ask another ref to check it out.

I guess that it's close enough to a straight line. To bad W17 is 15ft from U15, so unless your large I don't think you could have hit me anyway.

That's a clean hit right there. I use 3pp to negate 12 points of damage so you do see the blade draw some blood, just not as much as Taleron had expected.

I attack you back, though without the charge bonus this time.

Ref question:

Does Psychodelia count as squeezing since 1/4 of his space is occupied by a water square? Does it count as difficult terrain when he moves into / out of it?

It doesn't matter right now really, but I am curious as to how it should be treated.

Taleron will charge Psycodelia with his charging minotuar maneuver. He moves to V15 and doesn't provoke AoOs for the move.

We now resolve a bull rush attempt.

On the brightside though, now that it is my turn again, you see me shrinking back to my old size again in W13. This is not an active termination of the spell, the duration simply runs out :P

Taleron will drop his guisarm as a free action, then draw his flail and attack using his wolf fang strike. He'll weild the flail with both hands for the first attack and then use his armor spikes with his off hand for the other attack.

Regardless, Taleron will try to initiate a grapple with you. He'll fight defensivly as he does so.

Also, note that only slashing / bludgeoning damage is halfed, piercing damage is uneffected.

Wait a sec. Didn't you say pierce was excepted? Well the spiked gauntlet is a piercing weapon, so it doesn't get the penalty which means I most certainly did hit you! And for a wooping 8 points! I don't know by head at what that leaves you, but it can't be fancy. Also, while the beastland ferocity allows you to continue fighting without penalty, it doesn't say it stops the bleeding. So not only did I hit you, you also are now bleeding to death.

On the bright sight though, this does mean the damage you dealt wasn't 10 points but 12 thanks to your increased strength...

... which I soak for 3pp :P

And I'ld like to make an opposed grapple check to see if I can put you out of your missery

Hmm, I thought it was -2 to all attacks (even the tail has -2 to it) but slahs / bludgeon have damage halfed. That chart is way confusing.

Yep, I guess that's it. I think I relied to heavily on my one shot win technique (if the saphire mind had connected you would be flat footed, thus unable to soak the damage.) Unfortunatly I missed on both, so I was ill prepared to slug it out (forgot to buy my quickdamages). I think the only reason this match lasted this long was due to horredous rolling on both parts. Ah well, gg.

Just one little question out of curiosity. Where is it stated you can't take an immediate action while flat-footed? I can imagine running into this more often (invisible opponents for example) so I'ld like to know for future fights

I'm disapointed. After Taleron one shotted Drago from full health, I thought you'd go farther. Then again, that's how it goes in the Arena.
