Actually i like your style more than the normal OOTS one. What program do you use to draw?

Inkscape. only with lots of gradients.

You can, if your avatar isn't holding anything, use the half circle tool to make perfectly circular hands. You have to make sure it's only 180 degree's and an open circle.
I like gradients but i can't figure out how to use them really well.
