i know it's no OOTS, but this is my first try at a webcomic

criticism is welcome!

Many thanks to Rich Burlew for obvious reasons, Bloodyredcommie, for the help with inkscape, and Sneak for getting me noticed!

This is great, the last panel made me laugh. So, if you continue to make these, I will read them.
Just thought you should know. :smallwink:

With my great mental powers, I see that this comic has great potential.

Mmm, good. Easy to follow, nice jokes and the art is okay.

(I see some small letters where capital letters should be - call me a nitpick, but it makes the comic look like it's made in a rush)

As long as you dont blatantly break th 4th wall, I will be watching this.

kool, i'm glad there are people who actually find this amusing (and as i said, criticism is always welcome, even the nitpicky kind)

i'm not sure how often i can get them up though, summer is still 2 months away, and i currently have 3 AP classes in school, so i don't have a ton of free time, but i'll do the best i can

Quite funny, actually. The colors are a bit garish, and you might want to run it through a spellchecker, but the pacing is good, and the characters have an original feel to them.

Oh, and I suggest you edit your first post to show all comics you've done so far, not just the first one. That way, people don't have to dig through the discussion thread to read the story.

EDIT: One more thing, the relative size between the (gnome wizard?) and the (human rogue?) seems to vary from panel to panel. I presume that's not intentional.

Then again, if it WAS intentional (Or he just rolled with it now that it's pointed out...) that would probably be pretty cool.

Huh.
Make the text bigger - it's barely legible as is, and if you make it any smaller, as you did for Reduce Person - or even just saying something less important - it flat out can't be read.

I use 12 Font and export 90 DPI. It looks about right. So, if you use 90 DPI, use 12 font. Otherwise, make sure that the font size times the resolution is 1080.

What? He gave the time and the unbiased feedback. How is that rudeness?

This looks like the sort of webcomic I'd visit once per five updates or so, a la Looking for Group: there's a story developing bit by bit, and I'm the sort of hungry reader who likes to chew through a lot of plot every time I read. I don't mind the lack of 'zinger' or closing comment in every comic, since that's much easier to achieve with a pure comedy comic, but that might be what some people are calling 'slow' pacing. Those zinger moments will get easier to find once we readers know more about the characters and can anticipate their reactions--and sometimes be surprised by their reactions.

And so is this post.
