View Full Version : The Smurfs vs. a Space Marine

Gargamel, Hogatha, Balthazar, Chlorhydris and Scruple all put together their powers to summon a 40k space marine to the world, claiming the evil smurfs are corrupting and attempting to destroy the world and humanity. Before being executed as heretical witches, they reveal the location of the smurf village.

The space marine has one day to exterminate every single smurf before the spell transports him back to his own home. For sake of argument, we'll assume this is a bog-standard Ultramarine as we must remember abilities vary between each chapter. The Smurfs have to survive the SMurf onslaught for a full day, using whatever tricks and cunning they can to survive.

FIGHT!

The smurfs get crushed under his boot for being inferior xenos filth, then he proceeds to kill those who summoned him for practicing unholy magiks. And then he'd go around doling out the Emperors Justice. NEXT!

Oh, come on.

The poor Space marine won't even get a chance. He can't see them, and I'm sure that their copper based blood (they're blue, afterall) will throw all his radars and methods of detection off.

The smurfs win by default.

Trick question! Smurfs are Ultramarines!

All the evidence is there: blue bodies, white hats (red for the leaders), no females, they live a monastic life among their own kind...

Doesn't this fall under that "Cavemen vs astronauts" guideline?

(Note, there are no "rules" for vs threads, but this one seems to be against the "guidelines" established by Rawhide concerning vs threads.)

Not quite. Its not a straight up fight. The Smurfs just have to survive a whole day.

It is quite easy. All the smurfs need to do is smurf their smurf with a smurfing smurf and smurf-smurf up a smurfer. After that it is a simple case of smurfing out a smurf of smurf, or possibly just a smurf and they can smurf that smurf.

Comedy heros always win against their foes. You might as well send an entire regiment against the smurfs -- they'd still win.

Realistically? I'd expect about four and a half minutes to pass before the smurfs are bluish mist.

However, it would be a whole lot funnier if the smurfs won.

I believe it would be more correct to say that Ultramarines are smurfs, not the reverse :smalltongue:.

Which means, if my childhood memories don't fail me, that whichever side gets Papa Smurf wins by default.

When A Space marine fights the Smurfs, there can be only one winner.

Chuck Norris.

The Papa Smurf, using his magic, transforms himself into the true Papa Smurf, Marenus Calgar.

The Ultramarine bows to his magnificence, slays the foul witches he summoned him, and spends the rest of the day doing his lord's will.

Huh. I can honestly say that it's been forever since smurfs crossed my mind.
