View Full Version : Half Giant Template?

For my next game/campaign/what have you I'm looking at teaming up with one of my friends to make two characters who can only be classified as "two bad mofo's". He's decided on a Sorceror and I was looking at playing something much less subtle then my usual style, choosing a Barbarian.

Now in the Gleemax ARG which has a place in my sig, heart and impulse zone there is a Barbarian called Duke who is a half giant. Not only has he always been one of my favourite characters, the half giant idea has always intrigued me (despite the inherent :smalleek: in the backstory).

I was just wondering if

a) People would legally be allowed to post the Half Giant template here and

b) If anyone had the Half Giant template available.

It's not a template. It's a race in the psionic side of the SRD.

I don't know about a template... but here's the race from the SRD

Well, there are half-giants in A Song of Ice and Fire ... you just need a male human and a female giant. Mind you, the male human's pelvis was probably crushed. :smalltongue:

Actually, from the fluff, half giants are a result of wizard experiments, of the kind of Origin of the species, not the Owlbear kind, mind you.

I have a half-giant psychic warrior with expansion. His father also has expansion. Problem solved!

We need rest, the spirit is willing. But the flesh is spongy and bruised!

Me want SnuSnu!

Sure, it could be magic ... and it could also be the male humans were sentenced to death by snu-snu. :smalltongue:

Right that should be what I need ...

(Dukes backstory involves a male half giant ...)

Also shhhh, I'm bad at this game and don't know all the terms ...

Does anyone have the warlord class?

It's a half giant access only ...

Which warlord class? There's no warlord class in 3.5.

It's a class I was told about

Apparently it's in one of those other books which are 3.5 canon but override a few of the core rules ...

It's supposed to be a better Barbarian, but if it's not available I'll just stick with a normal Barbarian

Aaah, you mean warblade?

First off, one thing:

Games do not have canon. They only have erratas.

Second, it doesn't override core rules. It makes new ones.

Third, it's a better fighter, not a better barb (Though it can be that).

Finally, it's in This Amazing Supplement. (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/dndacc/953787200)

Do you understand what it's like to have literally no money?

I do, and where there's wits, there's a way to get 30 bucks.

Trust me, I've literally had not even a copper novelty coin.

If anything, you can resell any books you have on eBay or Amazon.

I am not advocating doing this, but if you want them badly enough, there are ways to acquire pdf copies of the books.

Nope, it's 30 bucks for the PHB, and you don't need anything else for playing (DMing is another story).

The real question is, d'you actually WANT to play D&D? If so, money is not going to be a problem.

Don't worry a bit about buying it. The warblade info is legally all free online, right here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20060802a&page=2).

All the info for maneuvers and stances is also free and legal, here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20061225a).

But they exist! Really! :smalltongue:

Seriously though, it's good to see a bit of honesty in this world.

If you Google hard enough, you can find the info for just about every D&D class/race/feat online. A good, also legal (I think) source for a large chunk of D&D 3.5 info is CrystalKeep (http://crystalkeep.com/d20/), which has a lot of the information in .pdf indexes.

It's more from a fear of viruses than honesty

That site won't load for me for some reason
