The doves flew across the barren land, searching, always searching for food. They were the weaklings of their kind, often prey themselves. But the people feared them and they fed on the people. They would fall as one upon their prey, scratching until its screams stopped. Each dove resembled nothing so much as a pair of human hands linked by the thumbs. They continued their flight with the strange, flapping movement that betrayed what they were.
Doves are minor imagos from the mirror world from beyond the tain. They are basically a pair of human hands hooked by the thumbs into a crude bird-shape. They fly by absurd flapping motions that only work because they are not completely bound by normal laws of physics. Doves often travel in groups while hunting for food. They eat through a seemingly impossible digestive process that produces no waste. It is hypothesized that since they do not exist in their true form, their chemical process cannot resemble anything from the human side of the mirror. How they are able to see without eyes is also a mystery. This is not true "vision", but a cruder form of it
Darkvision - Doves have no eyes to see with, but they do posses a vision that is beyond understanding. They are easily capable of "seeing" in darkness for up to 60 feet.
Flyby Attack - Doves can make a dive when flying, without taking a second move action.
Combat: Doves prefer to dive-bomb their prey in swarms, raking flesh with their sharp claws. They are not particularly strong or capable. Because they are clumsy in flight, they are especially susceptible to missile weapons. They rely on the fear humans have of them and the element of surprise to win.
