What are books you have read and really enjoyed but nobody else has heard of? Here is your chance to enlighten the world!
For myself I have to mention the Illumniatus! trilogy as a work of sheer tripped out genius.

The Master and Margarita is a deep, smart and often very funny book that's probably not very well-known among you western barbarians, you.

Um, what happened to the under-read books (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83931) thread? :smallconfused:

Since I have a first page spot in this thread, though, I will have to reccomend the First Law trilogy, by Joe Abercombie. Darkly humorous, excellently written and in general absolutely fantastic.

I'd say The Belgariad doesn't get enough love, but really, it's more love-it-or-hate-it than obscure.
