Well... Knights of the Dinner Table have recently dropped A Gamer's Rant on Movies, which I always thought was frickin' hilarious, but apparently the KoDT fanbase was generally opposed to it in a recent survey. Whatever, I suppose I can always read Noah Antwiler's rantings on his website, The Spoony Experiment ( http://www.spoonyexperiment.com/), but it looks to be missing a few of my favourite rants.

If you are not familiar with old Spoony, well now is the time to make a change in your life. I just got through watching his Knightmare review, a programme that I loved watching back in the day. Funny stuff, well worth a look.

Cheers Matt, that was indeed well worth the look, I remember Knightmare, though I was a bit elderly to be a fan of the show, I do recall how similar it was to tomb of horrors.

Ooo Nasty

I like Antwiler's writings. I remember in an interview Yahtzee himself stated that (http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=26300119) he's one of his favorites.

His eight-part review of Final Fantasy Eight is great, especially his renaming of characters (Squall becomes Emo Git, Riona becomes Whore and her dog becomes Anal).

Just about the only game reviewer who really entertains me. The Angry Videogame nerd is shallow even by game reviewer standards, Yahtzee got boring and comes across as a jaded guy who doesn't really enjoy anything.

We're going to need a lot more hemp before we're through.

I presume you haven't seen the recent "Prince of Persia" retrospective over at Zero Punctuation then? It not only shows his love of the series, but also lists his top 5 all time games as an easter egg.

Worked them out. The man has taste (esp. #5).

Yeah, Knightmare was pretty much right on target for my age group, airing between 1987-1994, which would have made me about 15 at the end. I distinctly remember applying to be on the show, but we never got round to filling in the application form. It had a recent run on one of the sky channels, so I caught a few episodes this year.

Spoony does a good job of reviewing it, though as somebody pointed out, you actually don't need to spell the word backwards, you just have to misspell it to counter it.

Heh, heh. Tor, the Hunter from the Future! I watched that one as well.

Looks like Spoony has given a quick review of 4e (http://spoonyexperiment.blogspot.com/2008/07/dungeons-and-dragons-4th-edition-review.html).
