Is there a reason why s-a-l-t-w-a-t-e-r translates into "salfemale genitalier"?

Yes, because the middle four letters is the name for a certain female genitalia and also, like many other genitalia can be used as an insult.

Also, salt water is two words.

Now try the word pocket watch, but as one word. Same situation arises.

Saltvvater is a legitimate spelling of the term for salinated water or for a creature that lives in salinated water. (Or at least it is when you don't use a double-v to avoid the censor.)

Thanks for the explanation. I'll use salt water from now on.
