(Only slightly modified from the thread on the SMBG forum. Placed here, honestly, to get the mods attention.)
Edit: Please note that this request differs from the Modest Proposal in this forum. Not DM mod needed to resolve game mechanics. Check out the Town primarily found on the SMBG forum to get more of a feel for the shape The Town is in. Thanks.

Squaaak* Sorry. *ahem* Trog would just like to say that, although Trog has never spoken out on this matter before that Trog also supports the most righteous cause of getting the Town its own forum. *looks up into the mod balcony high overhead*
Trog has been walking around to other areas of the town, pounding the pavement, if you will, trying to show Town support wherever Trog can by not only increasing post count but also by bumping minor threads back into the spotlight and mentioning other Town areas in his tavern. Trying, in short, to help be amongst the many that are currently laying the groundwork for a community that ties these disparate posters together.
Trog has also felt the pressure to post to his own thread when it quickly dives down into the third page due to the high amount of silly gaming going on during the hours when Trog manages to find time to sleep. Trog, quite frankly, hates to have to bump threads just to keep the community together.
Silly games are fun. But they are quite different than the ongoing issues and conversations that have been happening in such reputable establishments as the Milk Bar for quite some time now. These conversations are also fun but in such a way that they now begin to differ widely from other silly games. Want evidence? Just compare this, Trog's Town-related post, to a typical SMBG one:

Notice anything different? You bet. Many are willing to post long, in character conversations in the Town in order to do the very thing that brought ALL of us to this very site in the first place, mods and even, dare Trog say it, The Giant himself, included.
No not the comic. ROLEPLAYING.
In the time it took Trog to compse this message dozens of posters will have stabbed, healed, and bumped one another and will always, always drown out the Town threads in short order.
Trog has noticed that the major forums have posters that stick only to that forum. Many threads get moved if they post into an area in which they do not seem to belong. Threads for Town areas are now spread across many forums simply because there does not seem to be a place that they all truly fit in. Even on their original home, the SMBG forum.
This problem begs for a simple and elegant organizational solution to rectify this diaspora. A new forum. You can make this happen. Only you can build the defensive walls around this town of ours.
