Before you stands a brilliant marble structure, the Temple of Amour standing two stories high. On both sides sit beautiful flower gardens, peppered with small statues of various people. However, the real beauty lies within the structure. The first floor is an art gallery, amazing paintings, drawings, sculptures, mosaics, and poems of all types. Though there are no lights, and few windows, the entire floor is illuminated supernaturally. The back end of the gallery, by the stairs, is a library, with all sorts of books, as well as many playbooks and screenplays. Up the stairs is different, but similar.

The second story is likewise brightened by magic. It's also much smaller than the first floor. There is a pristine marble fountain in the center of the room, filled with holy water. Off to the sides are windows, gazing out over the flower gardens. There's a stained glass window in the back, showing Amour, the only picture of him in the entire building. Even though it's not completely proportioned, he seems tall, with wavy brown hair to his shoulders, and intense brown eyes. He has full lips, and flawess pale skin. He wears no shirt, his chest decorated with a variety of tatoos, from a red broken heart, to a silver mask, to a group of musical notes wrapping around his entire right arm, going from the shoulder to the wrist.

The high priest of Amour is named Morrison, though he rarely leave the temple. He is a painter, and actor, a singer, and dancer, and that is why he worships Amour. Amour is also active in mortal affairs, and enjoys appearing in the temple and viewing the art.

Alatariel hovers slowly up to the temple, mouth open in awe.
"Beautiful..." She whispers quietly, running a finger over a marble statue.
Whether she's talking about the structure or the picture of Amour, we're not sure...:smallamused:

Morrison sits in a chair upstairs, writing upon parchment. A loud crack is heard, and he ducks his head downstairs to look. Amour has appeared, and is admiring a painting on the wall, one eyebrow gently raised, a hand to his chin, shirtless. He looks at Morrison. Morrison, hello. New painting? Morrison nods. Ah, yes lord. Aquired in from another gallery by one of the acolytes, who brought it back yesterday. Amour nods slowly. It's nice. Would look better in the Impressionist wing though. He points at it, and it disappears, reappearing on the wall in the Impressionist wing. Morrison bows and retreats back to his writing.

A robed male walks towards the entrance of the temple, his robes are pitch blac, trimmed with very intracate golden runes that glow slightly, his hood is pulled, hiding his face. He's carrying a woman dressed the same of him, exept for a large bloodstain, which is growing larger by second, on the stomach of her robe, the man is dragging one foot behind him. Thet're both obviousy clerics. Of which god? No way to tell, probably a lost god....

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 05:45 PM
Amour turns and sees them. Hello, can I help you? He asks, raising an eyebrow at the blood.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 05:47 PM
S-she needs help... She was stabbed....
He neglects to mention his broken ankle....

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 05:49 PM
He nods and outstretches a hand to touch her, before turning to the man. May I?

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 05:59 PM
He nods...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 06:05 PM
Amour rests his hand gently on her stomach, and in a matter of moments, the wound is gone, and the blood lost has been replenished. In fact, she probably won't even feel fatigued.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 06:06 PM
The girl coughs and groans.
Wha...?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 06:08 PM
Amour looks to the man. There. All healed.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 06:09 PM
Thank you very...
He winces as he struggles to support himself.
Much.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 06:10 PM
Amour attempts to lay a hand on the man's shoulder, healing energy flowing out, fixing the man's broken ankle as well.

Ooh! New religion!

When are you going to use these (http://www.austriansoccerboard.at/uploads/av-4208.jpg) guys? :smalltongue:

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 06:12 PM
Thank you so much...
He steadies himself.
I don't know how I can ever repay you....

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 06:19 PM
Convert? He says, laughing. Don't worry about it, it's my pleasure.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 06:35 PM
Well... She could... Her god recently.... Died...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 06:40 PM
Amour's face turns solemn. I see. Well I'm very sorry to hear that. It's always a tragic event when a diety dies. He looks at the woman. As it is, there's always room for followers or clerics, or just people who need shelter here.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 07:06 PM
Sorry!

Could we stay here...?
Asks the girl...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 07:08 PM
Of course. The rooms are filled by the priests I'm afraid, but...He looks over his shoulder and a marble building shoots from the earth, a small house.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 07:27 PM
Thank you....
The girl is getting up...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 07:28 PM
Amour nods. Of course. He walks to the building and opens the door, ushering the two inside. It looks like a normal house on the inside, albeit one made of marble.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 07:29 PM
They look around... For beds and things...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 07:33 PM
There are two bedrooms, each with a double bed. For if you prefer to sleep alone or together. He says. There is also a bathroom, a small kitchen stocked with food, ect.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 07:35 PM
We'll be sleeping alone... We're cousins....

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 07:42 PM
Amour nods. Alright then. Is there anything I can do to accomodate you more, or should I return to my gallery?

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 07:52 PM
I'll be fine... I'm unsure of the mage, though...

Said mage is in the kitchen....

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 07:53 PM
(Wait, what mage?)

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 07:54 PM
The other guy... Darn, I called him a cleric, didn't I... I mant to not him as a mage, sorry.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 07:57 PM
Well, I'm not far. Get Morrison or I if you need anymore help. He nods to them and teleports out, reappearing in his gallery, looking at a collection of paintings.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 07:58 PM
She sighs and begins to work on some things...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 10:21 PM
Amour disappears from the gallery, returning to his home plane. Morrison heads downstairs and begins to read in the library area.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 10:23 PM
The girl leaves and begins to look around the temple... She looks into the library...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 10:26 PM
Morrison is in there, reading Hamlet in a chair. He doesn't seem to notice the girl. Morrison is of average build, with cropped blond hair, and green eyes.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 10:27 PM
She steps in and begins to scan the shelves...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 10:36 PM
Morrison looks up. Need help finding something?

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 10:37 PM
No thank you, just looking...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-09, 10:39 PM
Morrison nods and goes back to reading.

Quinsar
2008-10-09, 10:41 PM
She returns to her room...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 06:06 PM
Amour reappears in the left flower garden, singing as he looks at the plants.

Last dance with Mary Jane
One more time to kill the pain
I feel summer creepin' in
An I'm tired of this town again.

Lupy
2008-10-10, 06:11 PM
There is an Ignan cleric knocking at the Garden Gate.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 06:26 PM
Amour opens up the gate. Yes?

Lupy
2008-10-10, 09:40 PM
Greetings from Archbishop Lupy of the Church of Ignus.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 10:09 PM
Another temple around here I assume? He says, running a hand through his hair. He doesn't give any indication of being a god. Rather, he looks like lazy priest relaxing in the garden.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 10:51 PM
The girl is still wandering, trying to find a bible or anything similar...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:00 PM
There is no bible/holy book. Odd.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:04 PM
Shee sighs and begins to look for a holyman...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:06 PM
She still in her room, or in the temple?

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:06 PM
Temple now...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:08 PM
There are a few acolytes around, and Morrison is viewing a few painting is the back.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:09 PM
If able to get to where Morrison is she walks up to him.
Hi...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:13 PM
Morrison turns from the painting. Hello. Can I help you?

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:14 PM
I was wondering about this religion....
...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:15 PM
Yes? What about it?

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:17 PM
A blue police box vworp vworps into existence outside the temple. Vespe steps out. He glances up at the temple. Ooh, neat. He walks towards it, oohing and aahing at the flowers and statues.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:18 PM
Anything you can teach me...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:19 PM
There's nothing to teach really. Every artist is different. In the same way, every person is different. Trying to get one set of rules for everyone wouldn't work. Morrison says, shrugging.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:20 PM
Is there any way I could join the religion, as a cleric or priestess or something?...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:24 PM
He nods. Of course. But, I mean, there's not exactly any real teachings, aside from being a good person, and contribute to the world's beauty.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:24 PM
She nods...

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:25 PM
Vespe opens the temple door. Knock knock?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:26 PM
One of the acolytes opens the door. Yes?

Morrison nods back. All you need to do to join is create an original piece of art for the gallery, and show some skill for magic.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:26 PM
Hello. Could you tell me where I am? And, er, what plane this is?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:27 PM
Material Plane sir. And you're at the Gallery of Lights.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:27 PM
I draw landscapes... And I used to be a cleric... Unless it has to be arcane...

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:28 PM
Right...Gallery of Lights...Gallery of Lights...hmm... er, I don't suppose you would happen to have the parachronic coordinates for this temple, would you?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:28 PM
No, either type of magic is fine. We even allow psionics.

Umm, no sir.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:29 PM
Okay. I'll get to work.
She's probably smiling but her hood's hiding her face...

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:30 PM
Darn...I don't suppose you know anyone who would? I'm rather lost, you see.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:32 PM
Morrison nods and goes back to looking at the painting.

No sir, I'm sorry, I wouldn't.

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:32 PM
She retreats to her room...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:34 PM
Meanwhile Amour sighs at the deadtime priest and goes back to his gardening/singing.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:36 PM
Vespe turns to look at Amour, then back to the acolyte. Who's he?

Quinsar
2008-10-10, 11:37 PM
The girl's drawing a swamp....

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:38 PM
Vespe probably won't be able to see Amour actually, as he is in the garden, which is to the side of the building, and back by the back entrance/exit.

The acolyte shrugs. Gardener.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-10, 11:38 PM
Along the hedges Rabbit crept, her orange coat switched for a black satin trench, her hat replaced by a shorter black top hat.
Another religious building, another batch of fools. It was a shame such things of beauty would have to be ruined, but the hatter had her objectivity in hand. Religion's end...
Sighting Vespe and the accolyte at the front entrance, she circled around. There had to be another way in...

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:40 PM
Um...Vespe has...time...vision. Yeah. Time vision. Ah. So, he says, inviting himself in, who's the god you all worship here? No, no, I'm keen to guess... he takes a look around. Some sort of god of art, I'm guessing?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:41 PM
Of course there is. It's by the garden. Rabbit will probably hear Amour singing.

...But her friend is nowhere to be seen
Now she walks through her sunken dream
To the seat with the clearest view
And she's hooked to the silver screen
But the film is a saddening bore
For she's lived it ten times or more
She could spit in the eyes of fools...

Of the arts, yes.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-10, 11:42 PM
Rabbit froze in her steps as the voice lilted on the air, paralyzed for just a moment before shaking her head, and pulling close to a hedge, peering over it just slightly.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:43 PM
How original, he mumbles. So, tell me more, you've got my attention. Like what's 'is name, for starters.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:44 PM
Amour is tending to the flowers, watering them, and planting a few new seeds as he sings. He is the same as described on the first post. Shirtless, sexy, ect.

Amour. He says simply.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-10, 11:45 PM
The girl, really just an eighteen year who was quite susceptible to such things, gaped, mouth wide open.
Oh, yes, quite sexy.
Slowly, slowly, she broke through her teenage hormones and centered herself in her iron-sturdy resolve, looking for any way past the "god" into the building.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:47 PM
Yeah, sure, good name. Nice place you've got here. Vespe takes a look around. So, don't suppose he shows his face around here? If anyone can tell me the parachronic coordinates, it'd be a god, don't you think?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:47 PM
Suddenly, he's gone, reappearing on the windowsill above Rabbit. What are you doing? He asks inquisitivly.

He comes around sometimes, I think. The acolyte says non-commited.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:49 PM
Fair enough. Well, if he's not here now, is the high priest about? Next best thing, and such.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-10, 11:49 PM
While he had startled her, Rabbit quickly regained her composure, and, staring back at him with steady eyes, responded quite simply.
"Trying to figure out the best way to destroy your temple and end your worship, of course."

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:52 PM
Amour smiles. Oh. Well if that's all. He appears right in front of her, less than a foot away. Allow me to show you in. He points a finger and the door opens.

Morrison in usually somewhere on the first floor.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:53 PM
Ah. That's helpful. Vespe wanders off to try and find Morrison, mumbling under his breath about useless throwaway NPC's.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-10, 11:53 PM
"Oh, er, right. Could you, like, not watch? Its a bit trying to go to the bathroom with people waiting outside." Rabbit took a step forward towards the door, attempting to walk around him.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:55 PM
Amour chuckles. Of course I'm going to watch. I need to know what to fix after you leave after all. He's blocking most of the doorway.

Morrison is currently reading Hamlet again.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-10, 11:57 PM
Vespe walks up to him. Excuse me, Mr. High Priest, sir, but would you happen to know the parachronic coordinates of this temple?

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-10, 11:57 PM
"Oookay." Rabbit lifted a hand massaging her temples.
"This obviously isn't going to work, and I'm apparantly going to have to come up with another plan to end this temple. I'd really rather not burn all of the art work and such. I've got a bit of a soft spot for it, you know."

Raistlin1040
2008-10-10, 11:59 PM
If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to end my temple? I think it's a perfectly nice place myself. Amour asks.

Morrison tells Vespe the 'parachronic' coordinates, or whatever.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:00 AM
She sighed, tucking her hand away into the pockets of her ebony satin trench.
"I'm sure it is, mister, and, really, its nothing personal. I just have to end all forms of religion. S'kinda like my hobby."

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:01 AM
You couldn't take up poetry, or perhaps collecting stamps? He says.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:01 AM
Ah, excellent, thank you. Vespe jots them down on a piece of paper. He starts to leave, but because he's guided by plot, he happens to exit by way of the door where Amour and Rabbit are standing.

Oh, hello Rabbit. Or have we met yet? Time travel really messes with the head, you know. And who are you, sir?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:03 AM
Amour. Or the gardener, depending on who you talked to.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:04 AM
"Never really was great at the written word. And stamps remind me of acid." The hatter shrugged.
"Plus, you know, religion causes war and strife and all that bad stuff. If I eradicate religion, most of that goes away or is minimized. Plus, there are the people who fancy themselves gods, and that just doesn't sit well with me, you know?" All the while, Rabbit's mind was ticking off the ways in which she could end the temple, each one more useless than the last.
No, a horde of platypuses wouldn't do anything but be cute...

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:07 AM
Fancy themselves gods? No, you are mistaken child. It's funny, given that he looks early 20s at best. I am a god. I can do things you can only dream of.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:08 AM
Ah, so you're the god everyone's been talking about. Might want to educate your acolytes a bit more, if they think you're the gardener. Gotta admit, this is a nice place you've got here. At least you're not all pretentious and "thou shalt not have any fun" like some other gods I've met.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:09 AM
"Hi...you. No, I don't think we've met." Rabbit smiled awkwardly at Vespe before turning to glance Amour up and down.
"There are no such things as gods. Only beings who gained incredible powers and fancy themselves such."

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:09 AM
Ah well, it's a 'safety' procedure. The acolytes think something would happen to me if I was revealed as a god, which is somewhat ridiculous. And thank you, I like to think I'm a laid-back god. Amour says. He turns to Rabbit.

If it walks on two legs, has webbed feet, has a bill, and quacks, it's a duck, correct? I grant spells, have incredible power, and have worshippers. Does that not make me a god? He says.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:10 AM
Thank you, finally, someone else who agrees with me. Vespe bows at Rabbit, then turns to Amour. You think you're so high and mighty because you've got a couple of divine ranks. I've got news for you, buddy. I've been to a hundred thousand other worlds, and guess what? No one knows who you are, and no one cares. He grins.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:12 AM
Amour rolls his eyes at the two, clearly having heard this spiel before. The fact that if I wanted to, I could destroy all those worlds with a wave of my hand meaning nothing I assume?

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:12 AM
"No, it doesn't make you a god. It just makes you a guy with powers and some amazing people skills." Rabbit grinned back at Vespe.
"You. I like you."

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:14 AM
Amour laughs. People skills hmm? Goodbye child. He looks at Rabbit with his dark eyes, and blinks. She will be reduced to ash.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:15 AM
Vespe stares in horror at the ashes of Rabbit. Now see? That's exactly what I hate about gods. You think you can just go around smiting people because a couple of other people spend all their time talking about how you're so great.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:16 AM
The pile of ashes made a sound much like "hmph" and sat there.
Being a pile of ashes.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:16 AM
Pretentious? I don't think so. I have no dogma, very few teachings, no holy book, few clerics. I own an art gallery. I merely grant spells to those who want them, and grant a few miracles when I'm in the mood. He blinks again, and the ashes will reform to be a living Rabbit once more. Ah, I apologize. Lost my temper a bit.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:18 AM
"Yeah, well, religious figures tend to do that often. And unlike my fellow here, I do have a thing against religion. And now, something against you. Fricken' moody artist." Grumbling, she attempted to push past Amour and Vespe into the temple.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:19 AM
She gets to the doorway.

Smack. Gee. It's like a wall now. Huh.

I must say, I'm intrigued. You don't believe in gods at all. So, nothing I could do convince you otherwise?

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:20 AM
Nope. Or were you talking to her?

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:21 AM
Peeling herself from the wall she smacked herself into, she glared back at Amour with her dark hazel eyes.
"No. Because anything you can do, anyone in this Town can do."

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:21 AM
Both of you, I suppose.

You know, it's a common criticism of religion for being stubborn, and unwilling to change their ideals, even when confronted with irrefutable evidence. Do you see the irony perhaps?

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:24 AM
Perhaps, but then again, I'm not the one who disintegrates people and destroys universes because I'm bored, now am I?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:25 AM
I've never destroyed a universe. Certainly not for something as fickle as boredom. I was merely stating that I could. As for disintigrating, well, I usually bring them back. He says, leaning against the side of the wall.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:27 AM
"Perhaps, if that had been my criticism, which it is not." She readjusted the hat atop her head, sighing.
"I suppose, however, this is an end here. I don't think you're harming anyone, nor that the fools you've conned into worshipping you would harm anyone in the name of you. All in all, you're essentially a leader of a troupe of performers. Point is, you're the least of my worries."

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:29 AM
"Oooh, look at me, I can destroy universes!" I'm sure your mum's very happy for you. Now leave me alone before I paradox you out of existence.

He turns to Rabbit. I've got a time machine, how'd you like to go destroy temples all across the space-time continuum?

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:31 AM
He seems to take offense at the word conned. I haven't conned anyone. I didn't build this temple. I didn't force people to worship me. I did things nobody else could, and they decided, of their own will to start worshipping me. I appreciate it, of course, and I enjoy my temple. But I didn't con anyone into doing what I asked. That's precisly WHY I don't have a book of teachings. Amour sighs. You know, if I honestly wanted more worshippers, we wouldn't be having this conversation. I could make you both worship me, easily.

Vespe laughs. I'd like to see you try.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:33 AM
Amour rolls his eyes. Always the hard way. Always. He points a finger at Vespe, who will then be forced to fall on his knees and worship Amour. No save.

Hey, not the best idea to challenge a god, especially in his own freaking temple grounds.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:34 AM
Vespe does fall to his knees. He says, as mockingly as he can, all praise Amour!

Vespe then steps out from behind a bush, and shoots the kneeling Vespe in the head with a revolver. He shakes his head and sighs. What a senseless waste of elven life.

"I don't believe in Gods, and nothing can change that. Not even your magic. And, if you weren't so keen on calling yourself one, or calling this a temple, I'd be quite alright with it. The Arts are indeed something I appreciate, even if I have no talent myself."
Her words, however, fell flat as Amour forced his belief on Vespe.
"Even if he taunted you, that act made you a horrid being. Vespe, get up. Lets go...or not."
She waved to the Vespe who had just appeared.

Vespe Ratavo

Let's. Vespe starts heading back to the police box.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 12:40 AM
Amour sighs. He of course has a defense set up, about his clerics being his friends, and about how the only fools are the ones who choose to disregard everything, but he knows it means nothing. He sighs, and disappears, as does the temple, all the clerics, everything.

RabbitHoleLost
2008-10-11, 12:46 AM
Rabbit followed, watching the entire place disappear, and, for once, there was some nagging feeling of guilt ribbing in her stomach.
In the end...I've done good, haven't I? The means always justify the end. It always works out in the end...
Silently, she went along with Vespe.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:46 AM
Vespe, happily oblivious to the fact that the temple and everything associated with it just dissolved into nothingness, opens the door to the box and climbs in.

Meanwhile, Vespe's player suddenly feels horribly guilty, to make up for Vespe's uncaring at this turn of events.

Rabbit slid herself in after him, still silent.

RabbitHoleLost

Biting her lip, Rabbit thought long and hard. Technically, he had invited her along for a party of smashing temples and religious order.
However, something else just felt right and appropriate.
"Felt Forum, New York, USA, January first, 1970. I'm in the mood for some Doors."

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-11, 12:56 AM
Right. Vespe sets the controls, then yawns. Gee, destroying a god and his entire religion sure is tiring work. Night. He goes to his room, and falls asleep.

Amour reappears in the now-empty space where his temple once stood, and conjures up a bench to sit upon as he thinks.

RabbitHoleLost

Because Rabbit is pretty awesome at breaking continuity, she walks over to the bench, watching Amour.
"Are you really that attractive, or is it glamour or illusion?"

Raistlin1040
2008-10-11, 01:37 PM
No, I'm naturally like this. He says, looking up at the sky. He frowns and waves his hand, and it suddenly changes to night, and he looks at the stars.

Rabbit's heart ticked along with the sudden re-realization of just how beautiful the man, or god, or whatever he was before her really was.

"Are you planning on staying in Town, bringing back the temple? Or is this the last visit from you?"

Nibbling along her crimson lips, Rabbit suddenly stood, right before Amour, her hand out to him. This in and of itself was a sign of trust from Rabbit, having seen what Amour had done to Vespe the night before.
"I'll regard this simply as a house of the Arts, unless you become more like a religion. Until that turning point, I myself might even become more frequently sighted here, if you allow it."

The acolytes and priests ignore Rabbit for the most part. The gallery is fairly quiet, except for some faint singing from the second story.

Rabbit recognized the ethereal voice and made a point to attempt to steer clear of it, moving quickly, but not too quickly so that she couldn't admire the art around her.

She could not imagine how she had wanted to destroy it all before.

Raistlin1040

An acolyte opens the door for Vespe.

Crap. So much for her quick in-and-out interest.
"That's probably because I didn't give it. I'm Rabbit. Or Lapine. Does the God have a name?" Hearing Vespe's voice, she turned on her heels and waved to him... assuming she's gone in a straight line from the entrance.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-12, 10:39 PM
Rabbit, or Lapine? Hmm, which to you prefer? And of course I have a name, it's Amour. I, as a matter of fact, did give it.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-12, 10:40 PM
Why was he scared of me? Can't be good...I wonder if that Amour guy still hates me. Vespe shrugs, then notices Rabbit and Amour up ahead. He waves, smiling, while thinking Aw...crap, he's gonna murder me, isn't he? He's probably going to destroy my entire timeline and every alternate universe copy of me and prevent the TARDIS from ever being made I don't want to die I have so much to live for- etc.

Raistlin1040

Pleasant. Amour says. Vespe will suddenly not be able to move from the waist down, and Amour fires a small red ray at Vespe. It moves quickly, and Vespe can only watch as it slams into him...

And lightly shocks him, allowing him to move again. Amour puts a hand to his lips and begins to chuckle.

Vespe Ratavo

She almost wanted to set fire to the temple again.
"...Bye, Vespe."

Raistlin1040
2008-10-12, 10:57 PM
Well, that would unfortunatly force poor Amour to turn *Rabbit* into a statue. So...probably not the best idea.

Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-12, 10:58 PM
Ah, thank you. Vespe dashes in and shuts the door. A few sounds come out - whirring, whistling, beeping, a loud "bzzt," a loud thud, then swearing.

Vespe comes out a few minutes later. Heh, darn oven, always catching on fire, you think they'd make one automated by now, huh? He laughs very nervously, and starts sweating.

Raistlin1040
2008-10-12, 10:59 PM

Isn't it obvious? The big scary god wants to kill me, and right now he can do just that. The box will protect me. Okay, maybe he can still kill me in the box, but at least in there I've got some stuff I can defend myself with, and I can go see some of my friends, they can help me. Vespe Ratavo
2008-10-12, 11:37 PM
Yeah, that "brave talk" was because my time machine was actually working the other day. Now it's broken, but he fixed it, which means he can break it any time he wants.

Well that's just great, Billy! Do you know how to use it?

'Ouch' Rabbit mouthed, a flare of irritation forming in her stomach and growing out, and out, until it no longer existed.
Anger was best dealt with when no one was around.

Even as she had been irate a moment before, Rabbit stood and walked over to him, falling to her knees before him.
"I suppose you're a skilled orator?"

Some would say so, I suppose. I think of myself as more expressive with pictures than with words though, to be honest.

She shrugged anything else off, and smiled up at him.
"Could I bother you to read to me, at least?"

Amour raises an eyebrow. I suppose it wouldn't be too much trouble. What would you like me to read?

"I suppose anything that doesn't involve religious beliefs or romance. It doesn't matter much beyond that." Rabbit sat crosslegged on the floor before him, looking for all the world like an overgrown child, excitement radiating through her.

I don't suppose you're familiar with the poem Horse Latitudes? He asks.

Rabbit arched an eyebrow.
"I know of a poetry collection called Horse Latitudes, and I know that the Horse Latitudes are some subtropic latitudes."

Hmm. He takes a breath, reciting it from memory.

When the still sea conspires an armor
And her sullen and aborted
Currents breed tiny monsters
True sailing is dead
Awkward instant
And the first animal is jettisoned
Legs furiously pumping
Their stiff green gallop
And heads bob up
Poise
Delicate
Pause
Consent
In mute nostril agony
Carefully refined
And sealed over

Pleased, Rabbit smiled.
"If...if I were to believe in a god, you certainly would be it. Not very often do those who claim to be of such a divine rank bother with little things like that."

Thank you. Being a God of the Arts is quite a good job, I would say. So much of what I hear, what I read, what I experiance, it's all so beautifully artistic. That poem for example, is wonderful, and I would always be willing to recite it to someone who was willing to listen. Amour says.

Rabbit shook her head, still smiling, and stood.
"Its about time I let you get back to the people who actually worship you, I suppose. Thanks again."

You're welcome. You can return any time you wish, so long as it's not with the intent to disrupt my clerics and deface my temple. He says, smiling back.

"You say you have no dogma. I see no evidence of such, or of any religious beliefs. Your followers seem to worship an idea more than you. This, to me, is acceptable, and until that changes, you've nothing to worry about." The hatter smiles softly, bows, and scampers off.

God of the arts? Your never gonna have some way I can help you. I'm going to be in debt a long time. He flips a page on the book he was reading.

A new building has popped up outside the Temple, a clocktower. The bottom story is empty, only containing stairs to the second story. The second story is more elaborate, build with mirrors and a large clock that reflects the time at twelve different angles, some dimmer than others, allowing outsiders to see the time from the mirror faces, and people overhead to see the time as a sundial. Singing is heard from the inside of the clocktower.

Words are flying out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind
Possessing and caressing me...

She hadn't mean to come back around, really.
But it was an interesting place, even if Rabbit was sure that the "god" was macking on the high priest.
So she had made her mind up to stay outside that day, and admire things from a safe distance.
Including the Tower that had magically appeared over night.

One of the mirrors breaks, and a painting goes flying.

As it was unexpected, Rabbit jumped, issuing a loud yelp of surprise as she found herself suddenly running towards the tower.

The flying painting happens to be of a forest, if anyone cares.

She reaches the tower. There don't appear to be any more projectile artworks. For now.

Stopping on the way to pick up the painting, she didn;t bother to look at it, but tucked it under her arms, looking for the entrance.

Raistlin1040

There's no real entrance, as there aren't really walls, just pillars supporting the building.

Well, in anycase, the Hatter attempted to look for a place to set the painting down.

There's a bench.
