Interference (HALO Plot)

How would you picture heaven? Fluffy white clouds? 'Cuz that's what's here. And nothing else, apparently. Lillianna appears, hoping someone else will come.

[Emperor Ing]

A bolt of purple lightning strikes the ground, and a flare of arcane energy erupts from the impact site. When it clears, Rand is visible.
Yo.

A door appears and Detritus steps through.
*looks around*

Rand: Hey.

Detritus: You're on the plane that is home to my gods.

[Emperor Ing]

Yeah, so why are you here, and why did I get the feeling I should've followed you?

I'm here because there is something wrong here, and it's screwing up my magic. I guess you got the feeling from my very hyperactive magic.

[Emperor Ing]

Hmm. And you can trace the problem to it's source, correct?

[Gem Flower]

I could, but I think the problem will find us. Right on cue, a huge scaly bird swoops down and shoots acid at Rand.

[Emperor Ing]

The acid splashes onto Rand. It doesn't seem to affect him at all.

The bird goes for a claw attack at Rand's face.

Detritus shoots his Ballista at the bird thing.

[Emperor Ing]

His head's incorporal, so the talon goes right through it.
*sigh* are you kidding me?!
He throws a powerful lightning bolt at the bird.

The bird seems wounded, but continues trying to claw Rand's face. It's not very smart.:smalltongue:

It does nothing.
Rand throws a lightning bolt at it again. It looks the same, but it's WAAY more intensive voltage.

The bird screeches and falls dead. Does it land on Rand? That's up to him.:smalltongue:

No, these are probably the worst they've got. And there's probably a lot of them. This one's just a sentinel. At this a feeling of vulnerability should overwhelm everyone.

Fantastic! I got a great variety of AOE spells just waiting to turn these pseudomeatbags into vapor. :smallbiggrin:

The lowest form of under-earth bird. Dumb as a sack of hammers, but strong.

Don't bother. It'll take us a few hours to get there. I'll show you a little trick I learned for boring traveling; Does anyone plan on doing anything on the walk?

Detritus hangs the ballista on his back and takes out a silver rifle. He starts shining it. Other than that? No, not really.

Oh what? Even if I fly towards there really fast?

Don't waste your energy, you'll need it later. She clears her throat, Later that day, when they could clearly see the ominous black shape... Suddenly, the group is very close to what is now visible as a base.:smalltongue:

:smallconfused: Erhm, that works too. Alright, let's do this.

Okay. A huge swarm of the bird swoop down and attack the group. Lillianna throws spells left, right, and center.

Detritus looks for entry points into the base.

Detritus starts firing into the birds with the laser rifle if any are hit, the will have dinner plate sized holes punched in them.

[Emperor Ing]

Rand extends both hands outward, and suddenly, sends a pulse of energy that, when the birds come into contact into it, will crush them into a singularity. Everybody will see it as an expanding glowing, yet transparent sphere.

This is an effective tactic.:smalltongue: There are lots of dead birds dropping from the sky.

And I thought this was going to be harder!

[Emperor Ing]

the pulse will turn the birds into marble-shaped masses of flesh. Each one weighing about as much as the full-sized bird should.
Meh, that's basic.

Brace yourselves. A huge quake shifts the clouds at their feet.

Rand is hovering, so the shakes don't affect him.

Detritus falls to one knee, but still alert.

Nicholas appears on the plane with a 6-round granade launcher rather then his hormal .357 Cooney. To self. It's a good job I learnt how to use these things. Now where did everyone else go?

Rand seems to be a bit startled by something. He fires what sort of looks like a healing spell through a portal to an unknown destination.

(River, if this plot doesn't continue within the next 24 hours, I'm withdrawing Nicholas from it.)


EDIT: Due to not being able to find anyone else, Nicholas goes back home.
