So, yeah, don't know if this is old news or new news or what, but its certainly bad news, no doubt about it.

Anyone here feel as awful about this as I do? Anyone think that Will Smith and Hollywood in general should really just stop hamfistedly 'remaking' great movies? Anyone here even fans of the original?

I just hope to god that they don't go and butcher the entire trilogy...

I'm not opposed to remakes in general, but I honestly don't think those two are the ones to do this.

Unless they reinvent themselves big time.

This just in: Spielberg is officially out of ideas, Will Smith can't do anything except remakes, and Hollywood has no depths to which it will not descend in pursuit of your $$$.

A cheap and shabby attempt by a bunch of hacks to cash in on the Virginia Tech connection.
