That would be my interpretation. Or rather, that thats some of them smeared across the front of some of the falling meteors.

Wow. I was kinda hoping today's strip would be about Parson, but this one is good too. I really like how this page was done, and it's nice to see what's going on outside as well.

Some look like archons. Some look like lava balls. As for the girl I predict she'll be one with the lava in seconds. Maybe the pliers will survive buried.
