View Full Version : Which Campfire tune is best for Blood-Drinking?

Since the vampires in the latest strip said they would, it's made me want to ask the obvious question- WHICH campground song?
Camptown Racers? Oh Susanna? Gregorian Chant #5? The mind boggles at the possibilities!

Little Rabbit Frufru? Bear Climbed Over the Mountain? Oh Susannah?
Not so easy to sing would be "Red Rain" by Peter Gabriel.
Red rain is coming down
Red rain is pouring down
Pouring down all over me

My first inclination was "On Top of Spaghetti." Especially given that this is Transylvito.
But I think I'd have to go with "Red River Valley (http://www.partiallyclips.com/index.php?id=1101)."

'Red wine' by Bob Marley.

Oh, Rob, you missed a perfect opportunity. You could have put that in the strip... had the vampire clan all singing around the campfire. Spaghetti was the ideal choice. I think we all would have waited as long as it took to add that as a filler. It's cute, like Erfworld, to have vampires singing childrens' songs.

isn't there some song about goopy gopher guts or something and the ending is "But i forgot my straw!!!!"?
wouldn't that work?

Frankly, I think that one would be better for zombies, but here goes...
Great green globs of greasy grimy gopher [Gobwin] guts
Mutilated monkey ['Mancer] feet
Chopped up baby pawakeets [flying peeps?]
French fried eyeballs
Floating in a pool of blood,
And me without a spoon.
But I've got a straw

99 bottles of blood on the wall, 99 bottles of blood...

The Smithereens - Blood and Roses
It was long ago
Seems like yesterday
Saw you standing in the rain
Then I heard you say
I want to love but it comes out wrong
I want to live but I don't belong
I close my eyes and I see
Blood and roses

Christmas is comin' the goose is getting fat
Please put a penny in the old mans hat
If you haven't got a penny then a hepenny will do
If you haven't got a hepenny then god bless you....
What....I think it would be best.
