A Wannabe Collector

Yeah, I'm a wannabe collector. I have a few collectors items in my bedroom but not much. I was wondering if there are any Big Time Collectors in the playground that can give me any kinds of advice on collecting. Such as where to keep the items, how to take proper care of them, where to find them, what to spend money on and what not to, etc.

Yeah comic books, figures, I have a few Star Trek pez heads in my room as well as a rare MTG card and I have...one comic book I think. I'm more of looking into videogame "collector's edition" things.

i wouldn't bother with videogames - unless you're talking classic games - as they;re so mass produced they rarely (if ever) hold their value or increase in value enough to be worth collecting for commercial gain

for MTG cards, get those ring binder slips that hold them

comics - mylar sleeves = MUST. Best thing is to store them in shoe boxes (usually are a perfect fit), and keep them held in place with bits of corrigated card to avoid any damage

as for everything - keep it out of direct sun/away from heat sources (infact, avoid all extemes of temprature)

by video games I didn't exactly mean video games. I meant like the Fallout 3 bobblehead/lunch box in the collectors edition set or the Pip Boy alarm clock. I also recently came in contact with a limited edition Mountain Dew Throwback (warning the image below is extremly big, it didn't look this big on google. Open at your own will)
