I has no band, however, If I was a better musician and people around me were into the same music as I, I would like to be in one. :smalltongue:

Me and two of my friends have this little band were we try to play "music"
Like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSZKK19N4Lg) it sounds really really awful, but is tons of fun anyway :D
Edit: We now have a Facebook fanpage, so feel free to look for the Jinuras there and become our fans, You've got the power!... No seriously we've mostly been having fun so far, but it's beginning to sound better.

I'm in a band but I don't feel like sharing recordings until we have some decently recorded stuff. Expect something by the end of summer.......if we find a replacement drummer that is.

Most people who're likely to like this around here know about it already from the metal thread, but since the server here just broke anyway, I present you my crew:

I've posted about my band a few times before, but shameless self-promotion is the stated purpose of this thread. I'd be remiss to pass up the opportunity.
My band, based out of Madison, WI, USA, is called Ruckus & Fray (http://www.myspace.com/ruckusfray) and comes complete with custom-made OotS-style logos! We also have a Facebook band page, so if anyone wants to be-fan us on Facebook...
We play a wide variety of styles, depending on the venue. For a bar/club/larger venue we tend to play blues, rock 'n' roll (reminiscent of the Beatles, Buddy Holly, Locksley, etc.) and folk-rock. For coffee shops, open mics, and smaller venues we play folk-rock, bluegrass, more blues, and other, folk-influenced styles. The songs up on our MySpace page are a decent sample of the different styles we play.
I hope everyone enjoys what they hear and would be interested in your comments. We're trying to book more aggressively for this summer and next fall, so if you know of any good places to play within driving distance, let me know!
Edit: We are embarassingly low on MySpace friends, so feel free to befriend us![/shameless self-promotion]

I'm auditioning for the vocalist (and sometimes second keyboardist) spot in a prog-metal band called Deviant (http://www.myspace.com/deviantdk).

My thrash metal band, Kill 'til Mourning (See its a double innuendo... Morning? Mourning? Eh?) has been getting strangely popular of late... We are bordering on a record deal from some local place... And Nuclear Blast (If you like metal, you've heard of them) is looking into us. I play lead guitar and the Deeper, more roughly shouted vocals (I can sing falsetto, and oddly enough I can also death roar :smallconfused:?)
But I don't wanna link you to our myspace because (A) I'm too lazy to get to the page... I'm not using my regular browser :smalleek:, and I'm not sure that some of the young-uns should be hearing SOME of the songs...
However, I'd like to get input on this... Being a huge metal head, I don't really know how or what to think of my friend's music (http://www.myspace.com/dangcoco) :smalltongue:. Thoughts?
DISCLAIMER: Some lyrics may be a PG-13+.. View at discretion. Woah, actually some songs are very graphic... Be wary.
