Right, so. I know how to link a Youtube video in general. However, I've occasionally seen a video linked that jumps ahead to, say, halfway through the playtime or some such.

How does one accomplish this?

Add #t=1m26s at the end of the URL (cannot have an & parameter after it) to jump to 1 minute 26 seconds.
