So this is something I discovered today and actually think is really cool. Over the past four year, this organization Playing for Change has been traveling around the world, bringing music education to places that don't have it and recording street musicians. Now what they've done is spliced all the clips together in order to create what I think may be one of the most impressive musical accomplishments in recent history. The result is an album of songs played by musicians several continents away from each other. Their version of Bob Marley's One Love (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us-TVg40ExM&feature=channel) for example has the opening groove laid down by three guitarists, in Italy, South Africa and France respectively. Also by them is Stand By Me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us-TVg40ExM&feature=channel). Five continents, dozens of musicians, one album, check it out.
