Hey everyone. I need a good list of classic Boardgame Icons. All I can think of so far are the 6 Clue characters (Mr. Green, Mr. White, Col. Mustard, Prof. Plum, Ms. Scarlet, Mrs. Peacock) and the Monopoly man.

Any others that anyone can think of? Preferably humanoid.

Well, there's all the characters from Candy Land.

Well, I was going to suggest the monopoly guy, but you got him.

Umm. . .the ships from Battleship?
Board games aren't exactly known for their riveting characters.

Ah, yes, I've realized. I thought that there would be more. This shall be fixed in the great boardgame revolution of 2011.

Maybe I can extend it to classic games. That way I can have playing card suits, dice, and whatnot.

I always felt that the money-bag from monopoly was iconic, but that may just be me...

How about all the creatures of Titan?

The sheep from Settlers of Catan....what?

That's the problem, there weren't a lot of personalities in traditional/early modern board games, they were pretty abstract.

I don't know exactly what you're going for, but there are always Cheapass Games. There's Dr. Lucky, Devil Bunny, Jacob Marley Esq, any of the defendants in Witch Trial, Mr. Bond The Totally Renamed Spy, etc.

The patient in Operation.
The man (who goes into the pan) in Mouse Trap
From Monopoly: The policeman, the kid ($150 school tax), the wife (savings and loan matures), the guy riding the horse
The boy and the girl in Chutes and Ladders. (And I swear, that kid was picking his nose in the picture).
Everybody in Guess Who

The Meeples from Carcassonne. From Clue, don't forget Mr. Boddy (the victim).

Over here it's Dr. Black. I'm not sure why... Black guy dies first?

Does talisman count as a classic board game?

The VHS man from Atmosfear?

The chess men...

Mr Pop? Anyone remember this? You've got a set amount of time to build Mr Pop's face before he flings forward and his all his features fly off.

Buckaroo?

Crocodile Dentist? If Steve Irwin was a dentist.:smallfrown:

Mr Bucket? You put your balls in his top.:smalltongue:

Ah yes, Talisman has some good characters.

And, if you don't mind my asking, why are you doing this? Planning some massive, awesome crossover?

Actually, it was an idea for a super group in city of heroes, but sadly, it looks like it's not meant to be.

I really like the list, and I might use it for something in the future.

'Sheep of Catan' sounds like a wonderful name, in my opinion.

Batman Beyond already had a card themed characters, but they were villians. Maybe one based on the suits instead of the top ranking cards, i.e. Heart Diamond Spade Clubs?
The Old Maid from Old Maid?

The ones you can get wood for? I'll apologize right here for the slightly off colour pun.
