Mad scientist hairdo

I thought of dressing up as a scientist for Halloween, but I'm kind of unsure as to what I should do about my hair. I have long hair (about 15 inches) and I'd rather not wear a wig, so does anyone have any good ideas for long-haired mad scientist hairdos?

1) Albert Einstein style - crazy hair going all directions

2) Do your hair up in dreadlocks but splice in wires. Then have the dozens of wires plugging into some 'sciency' looking do-hicky.

3) Do your hair in two big upright spikes, wrap them in metal foil and make them into a home-made jacob's ladder.... not sure if its even possible and I imagine it would be all sorts of dangerous if you could do it, but dang if it wouldn't look totally cool.

(yes, it's the same person, but one's decidedly 'madder' than the other)

Really I'd imagine something along those lines or slicked back. Really depends on what type of 'mad' you're going for.

i think you should stick it up, and blacken your face as if in an explosion, and have the tips of your hair smoking...

although i feel your pain, standing hair that long on end is damn near impossible, short of superglue...

just back-comb it into a mess, and spray on some decent hair spray to hold it in place

Egg whites hold hair pretty well, or so i have been told.
The bad news is, i cant confirm if this works. The good news is that i was told by the daughter of a hair stylist.
