View Full Version : Barbarian Costume-Need Pauldron Template

Hello.

I'm working on this totally awesome Barbarian costume. I've got access to a flexible, leather like material. If I paint it right, it looks like metal. Here's my checklist:
Greataxe: Check (Wood, painted black with silver edges...Meteoric Iron made into Steel?)
Furry Cape: Check
Helmet: Check (Furry Hat+Tinfoil)
Manskirt: Check (Don't ask)
Torso: Design planned (Painted Leatherlike:Solid Breastplate under armpits to ribcage, Banded Plate/Brigandine/Lamellar bottom of ribcage to waist. Iron/Steel.)
Gauntlets and Greeves: Need design help for putting them on; no velcro, shoestring method? (Painted Leatherlike:Solid Iron/Steel.)
Pauldrons: Need template. (Painted Leatherlike:Solid Iron/Steel. May include Banded Plate/Brigandine/Lamellar if design calls for it) Hopefully looks like metallic version of below:

I've searched the internet and been unable to find templates for anything like what I'm looking for, and I don't want to eyeball it. You're a very knowledgeable crew around here. Can you help me out?:smallconfused:

Manskirt? Surely you mean kilt?

Anyways, googling "leather pauldron pattern" seems to come up with some good results.

Hello again.

I have carefully selected my design for the pauldrons (http://www.armourarchive.org/patterns/pauldrons_15thC_sinric/). Before I jump into production mode, can any of you advise me on how to size them up properly?
