While I was clearing some junk out of my hard drive, I accidentally deleted all my OotS avatar templates. As I am too lazy to remake them, anyone have a batch of body templates I could use?

I HAVE to use templates. If I draw every character again for every panel as I used to do, it looked horrible. So, I make templates of eveyy prop and character. I then when I put them in a strip erase their arms and legs and put new arms and legs for the new posistion they're in.

Didn't somebody, somewhere, have an epic template for... Everything? Hair, clothes, different heads? Where's that go?

If someone finds it, it would benefit webcomic artists all over the globe!

Wow... just wow...
But most of those hair styles are useless as template unless adapted to the default OotS character position.

I would more look at them as inspiration, this is how you can do it. Make your own templates. :smalltongue:

Indeed...
On a related note, I have almost every weapon in the 3.5 Player's Handbook here:

....awesome.
Still, though, would you use templates made by someone else? I think I'd have issues with it.

Do this.
Try and use templates on Paint, I dare you.
Oh and by that, I mean, to make new avvies that look different, and not the same avvie with different stuff on it.

Considering that 95% of my OotS style drawings are to print out and use for miniatures in a D&D game I run (yes, I'm cheap that way), it saves a lot of time to use templates and quickly whip out a couple human bandits or whatever I need for that session than to draw every single one from scratch. It's not like I plan to make masterpieces of art with them or anything... O.o

Okay, I didn't know that.
Yeah, templates might be th best idea for that then.

I traced my templates from the Giant's work so that I would have a handy resource for getting my proportions and dimensions right. I have no problem with people using my templates to skip that first step, and I certainly don't think it's cheating or detrimental to one's work to have something to compare your sizes with.

I agree with you. I also made a few templates by making avatars that were just the same one in another position. And I learned a couple of things from fan comics other people made
