Hello. Welcome to my thread. This is mostly inspired by the CHALLENGE (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171954) thread that basically has challenged us to draw every day.

So I'll be posting my daily sketches here, and maybe some other stuff too.

Here's my challenge day 1:

This is YKK. He's a character in a comic i'm going to be creating about Superheros. YKK's power is that he's freakishly weird and creates dimensional portals out of zippers that he can open or close on anything biological. He's a bit freaky and is based off a mutants and masterminds character that was created by a friend.

Introducing the Iron Mask. He's dishy, he's dreamy and I have a total fan-girl crush on him. He is also for the comic and was created by my fellow gamer friend Ash! He controls metal and I had so desperately wanted to make him silver and purple, but my roomie thought he'd be too close to Magneto if I made him that way.. what do you think?

My mutants and Masterminds group actually came up with the character concepts, I just gave them designs. I find drawing superheros are fun and I like the challenge of giving them interesting, original outfits.

Nice. Very dynamic pose.

You make me wanna roll up in a corner and forget all about that stupid challenge and all you stupid way-more-talented-than-I-could-ever-be artists! Pff! :smallwink:

Seriously, though, I really like your style. The very thick outer lines are a nice touch, though the lineart seems a bit shaky (or maybe just pixelated?) at times.

YKK is an awesome idea, too.

I'm trying to figure out a better way to ink my lines. I am used to ink and paper and I am unable to replicate that in photoshop, so I might move to illustrator or mangastudio. Making clean, crisp lines is my hardest challenge at the moment. :(:(:(:(

But! Don't roll up in a corner! I've been attempting to draw every day since March of this year and I have visibly seen my style improve. OMG you will be so much better if you continue at it.

And here's day 3 of the "Draw every day" thing. We're on a roll here, Jessah.

I tried re-inking Iron Mask as I downloaded new drivers, to see how they'd make a difference and it really helped.

I like the super hero theme, and you've a good clean style. Good luck with the digital inking, it's something I just can't get my head round - hopefully you'll have better luck, or more perseverance.
