The Elemental Plane of Ice

[Lykan]

It's the plane of ice. It's cold. Have fun.

Lykan and Mhina step throughthe portal, next to a chasm filled with upward facing shards of ice

Woah...

[Mhina]

Mhina backs up a bit, looking down, tensing.

[Lykan]

Lykan leads her away from the chasm. Around the corner of another spire is a rolling tundra. In the distance is a pure white palace.

I'm gonna assume that's his place...

[Bookman]

It's the plane of ice. It's cold. Have fun.

[Mhina]

Mhina looks up at the palace and can't help but smirk, It seems your friend is compensating... She scowls at her own remark, shivering slightly. Let's hurry...

[Lykan]

Lykan nods, and shifts to his wolf form

I can't get any closer then this with psionics, so I guess we're gonna have to expect some some resistance as we get closer...

[Mhina]

Mhina nods. I can't shift, currently...it'll break the spell. It was bad enough outside the portal...it might kill you if the spell breaks...

[Lykan]

Then I guess it's time for you to hop on, eh?

Lykan kneels down besides her

[Mhina]

Mhina climbs onto his back, clinging to his neck.

[Lykan]

Lykan gallops off toward the castle, the wind wistling around them wildly. A keen shreaking sound can be heard in the distance...

[Mhina]

Mhina narrows her eyes, trying to see what made the sound.

[Lykan]

Mhina spots nothing. As Lykan continues to trot down the path however, the ice around them cracks, and a gigantic maw burst from the ground, knocking the both of them skyward.

[Mhina]

Mhina clings to him tightly and groans as she forces them to stay in the air, looking down at what threw them up. Can you use any of your powers? she asks, gritting her teeth.

[Lykan]

Lykan seems not to be able to here Mhina at first, too concentrated on retaining balance while in the air. It dives under the ice again, and the keening sound can be heard again, growing closer

Yeah, but we need to get on the ground. I don't want you to strain yourself too much.

[Mhina]

Mhina looks to the ground and winces at the thought of getting eaten by the giant...whatever. She sighs and nods, lowering them slowly to the ground.

[Lykan]

The keening sound gets louder as they near the ground

Faster faster faster!

Lykan begins running frantically midair

[Mhina]

As soon as they get close enough to not break any bones she drops the levitation spell and they fall the rest of the way.

[Lykan]

Lykan gollops away, and the worm bursts from the ground again, screeching. It strikes snakelike at Mhina, attempting to rip her from Lykan's back

[Mhina]

Mhina winces, trying to freeze the worm's blood, unsure if it'll do any good to something in this cold a world, but not having any other way to strike out with her arms around Lykan's neck.

[Lykan]

The worm seems uneffected by her attack as it bowls over Lykan. On closer inspection, she sees the worm is actually made of ice. It goes to slam them both into the ground

Mother-!

[Mhina]

Mhina looks the ice snake over and tries to shatter it with her control over ice, praying that they're not killed in the process.

[Lykan]

The worm stops halfway through the strike, as if it had turned ito actual ice, then explodes, sending shards of ice everywhere. Lykan leaps over Mhina protectivly and several thunking sounds can be heard as bits of ice get embedded in his back

[Mhina]

Mhina gasps, plucking the chunks of ice from his back and using her healing magic quickly. Are you okay?!

[Lykan]

Lykan's eye twitches

Ow.

He stumbles foreward a bit, but catches himself in time from falling

[Mhina]

Mhina clings to him, hugging him tightly. I'm so sorry...

[Lykan]

Lykan chuckles, couching a bit

You killed that thing in one shot! That was awesome!

[Mhina]

Mhina shakes her head. I could have killed you.

[Lykan]

Takes more then a bit of ice to kill me, dontchaknow?

Lykan hugs her, and looks over his shoulder

Can you get that big one out from behind my shoulder? I can't reach it...

[Mhina]

Mhina, realizing she missed one, gasps again and plucks it out quickly. She kisses him, tears threatening to escape her glowing eyes. I'm sorry.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles, reasuringly

Are you okay?

[Mhina]

She nods, trying to smile. I've used too much power, I think...we need to get there soon.

[Lykan]

I hope Frosti doesn't have any more surprises...

Lykan shifts to his wolf form and kneals before Mhina

[Mhina]

Mhina climbs onto his back, clinging to his neck.

[Lykan]

Lykan trots a bit more of the way to the palace, and encounters a series of pillars similar to the on in Wurmwreath.

No time for fun...

Lykan floats over the chasm, revealing that the pit's deapths are beyond the realms of light.

[Mhina]

Mhina scowls at his back, obviously not amused.

[Lykan]

Lykan look back

Sorry...

They land in front of the palace, two giant doors made of blue ice before them

Should we knock, or...

[Mhina]

Mhina steps off of his back and runs her hand along a door. Could he hear it? She tries using her power to push the doors open.

(This is where we realize that you're supposed to "pull")

[Lykan]

[of course]

Nothing happens.

Maybe it goes the other way... You know, to keep the wind from blowing the door open...

[Mhina]

Mhina sighs and steps back far enough to not get hit by the doors and tries pulling with her powers instead.

[Lykan]

The doors swing open, revealing an ice covered entry hall

Woah... aoh...

[Mhina]

Mhina takes his hand and steps into the entrance hall, walking down it slowly.

[Lykan]

*grumble* Ruin my "tho are not worthy to be here" speech...

A giant man made of ice appears in a swirl of snow

Jokal Frosti loks upon her with curiosity

Mhina shifts uncomfortably under his gaze, lowering her glowing eyes so that she's viewing the floor. She sees her own reflection and immediately her gaze shoots back up.

[Lykan]

She has quite a bit of power...

Yeah, I need you to help her learn how to control it... Can you?

For what you did for me? Is this the thing I owe you?

You can think of it that way...

Fine... What's your name, little one?

[Mhina]

Mhina forces herself not to look at the floor. Mhina.

[Lykan]

Mhina... That's a very nice name... Maybe we should go to the roof to practice... Plenty of space there...

[Mhina]

I'm sorry...but I can't keep up this spell much longer, and I don't know how safe it is outside of it...will Lykan be okay if I let go of my protection spell, or is it still too cold?

[Lykan]

Frosti snaps his fingers and the tempreture of the building raises to 40 degrees farenhiet [dunno how to spell that...]

That should work for the wolfboy.

[Mhina]

Mhina's eyes stop glowing and the shield disappears as she shifts back on her feet slightly, trying to remain standing. She shivers, rubbing her hands across her arms to get warmer.

[Lykan]

Lykan moves over to Mhina, huddling close enough to try and provide some warmth

Goin up!

The floor rumbles, and it begins floating upward to the ceiling

[Mhina]

Mhina shifts into her hybrid form, the tawny fur providing enough warmth to keep her from shivering.

[Lykan]

Jack raises an eyebrow as the platform continues to rise

Is she your family?

Girlfriend.

Then where'd sh-

Why?

Nothing I wanna talk about, mate.

[Mhina]

Mhina bows her head at the memory looking into the ice. She only sees her own reflection and sighs in relief.

[Lykan]

Lykan looks at the reflection in the ice

Want me to ask him to do something about that?

[Fenric]

*The reflection suddenly becomes an image of Evil Fenric, who reaches out to grab Mhina*

[Lykan]

Jack sees the hand and the ice distorts, making it see through rather then reflective

[Mhina]

Mhina shivers uncontrollably, clinging to Lykan.

[Lykan]

Lykan holds Mhina close

You should probably do that to the rest of the building.

Jack nods, and every ice surface either distorts to the point where it is not reflective, or it turns completly clear. The platform rises through another floor.

[Mhina]

Mhina sighs, looking down. I'm so weak...

[Lykan]

Maybe we should rest, then... Do you have guest rooms?

Jack nods, and the platform stops. A single hallway lined with doors is to the right

Choose any one you want. They're all basically the same thing anyway...

Lykan thanks Jack and leads Mhina down to the first door to the left, to a room where everything is covered in distorted ice, except the bed, which is covered in animal furs of all sorts...

(I don't think it'll work if they don't have a mirror to get to us....besides, Fen's gone to bed.)

Mhina looks to the bed, biting her lower lip and hoping that those are normal animal furs. She nods.

[Lykan]

Lykan nods, and pulls back the fur covers to the bed, and crawls in

[Mhina]

Mhina crawls into bed beside him, cuddling closely to him. Why are they still after me? Hel's not even that obsessive...

[Lykan]

I dunno about that... I guess they're just less subtle then Hel. I guess that's a good thing, though. At least we know how they're trying to get you...

Lykan wraps his arms around her protectivly

[Mhina]

Mhina nuzzles her muzzle into his shoulder, trying not to cry.

[Lykan]

They won't get you here, don't worry...

Lykan holds her closer

I hope not...I didn't like the look he was giving me...and what he said before...

Mhina nods, cuddling closer to him.

Lykan closes his eyes, but remains alert

Mhina closes her eyes, trying to sleep. Goodnight...

Lykan wakes up several hours later, and shifts over to look at Mhina

[Mhina]

Mhina shivers at the movement. She wakes and looks up at Lykan. Was it just a dream? she asks herself. The aching and dirty feeling washing over her suggests that it might not have been after all.

What's the chances that Jackul would have a hot bath around here?

[Lykan]

[You would think a psionisist would have a better will save. ::)]

Bath, probably. Hot, not so sure...

Lykan gets up and cracks his neck.

Should I go ask?

[Mhina]

(Not under the current stress, you wouldn't...I've never been one to think that one would still have the same WIS and CON scores under stressful situations or when one's not gotten enough sleep)

Mhina nods. Thanks...that'd be nice.

[Lykan]

Lykan nods, smiling, and heads out of the room. Several minutes later, he returns

Theres a planar breach to the plane of fire waaaaay underneath the building... Which means he's got a hot spring in the basement... Jokal ussually freezes it over to keep it from melting the building, but he'll undo the power temporarily for you...

[convenient!]

[Mhina]

Mhina smiles, Perfect. She stands, wrapping one of the furs of the bed around her.

[Lykan]

Lykan nods and takes her hand, heading for the platform, and concentrating, trying to force it to begin going down. When it begins, he turns back to Mhina

Didja sleep well?

[Mhina]

Mhina nods. I think so...

[Lykan]

That's good.

Lykan grins as they pass through the next few floors, and eventually set down on a warm stone surface.

Here we are...

[Mhina]

Mhina heads for the water, tugging at the sleeves of her dress. I'm sorry I didn't do any training yesterday...I've been rather stressed...

[Lykan]

It's alright... If you aren't today though, you should probably try...

[Mhina]

Mhina nods kissing him lightly before turning back to the water and removing her dress slowly, seemingly rather shy about it.

Mhina transforms into her human form and slips into the water, sighing with relief at the warmth.

[Lykan]

Lykan tries to avoid grinning while averting his eyes

[Fenric]

*A wave of psionic energy flattens and smooths the water into a ripple-less mirror. *Evil Fenric lunges through and grapples Mhina and tries to get her underwater.*

[Mhina]

Mhina screams, trying to fight back against the other lycanthrope.

[Lykan]

Lykan leaps over in a flash, trying to stab the other Fenric. Chains burst through the portal as well, tightening around his neck, arms, and legs. He strugles, and goes begins manifesting psionic energy

[Fenric]

Evil Fenric adds a Telekinetic Force to push Mhina under as he also uses his own strength to push her.

[Mhina]

Mhina lets out one more yelp of "Ly...!" before going underwater.

[Fenric]

*Evil Fenric and Mhina disappear the instant she is completely underwater*

[Lykan]

Lykan looks back around the room for a second and lets go of any brace he has in the room. The chains drag him into the portal...

[Deadly]

Kio appears on the slope of a huge iceberg, overlooking an endless sea of ice. She sits down and stares into the distance, a few tears quickly turning to ice on her cheeks.

[hr]
After hours sitting there alone, and completely still, Kio slowly stands up and walks down the iceberg. She reaches the icy reaches below and wanders straight north into the endless white.

[Dib]

((Hellooo?))

[Deadly]

((Sorry, I'm here now :)))

Ilias appears on some iceberg somewhere along with Cheese Golem.

[Dib]

*cheese golem's breathing and movements slow. As his joints turn, the strings of cheese on them snap into little sticks and fall down the side of the iceberg,*

"You need to find... my master... do you... know him?"

[Deadly]

Ilias shakes his head, breathing easier now that the smell takes off a little. No. Who is he and where can I find him?

[Dib]

"He is Dib... a healf-elf... he and his mirror-counter part were taken... back to his homeland... deep in the deep woods..."

*his joints stop turning and he is barely able to move his lips.*

[Deadly]

Ilias listens, then thinks Dib... half-elf... deep woods! Anything else?

[Dib]

*His lips barely move as the last word slips out and he is completely frozen.*

"court..."

[Deadly]

Ilias frowns Court? Damn, I hope I wasn't too quick to freeze him... he looks around then sighs Better get to work in any case. he says to himself and quickly covers CG with snow to hide him, then takes note of the location and planeshifts to the Temple of Inari.

[Deadly]

Ilias appears in the middle of a seemingly endless sea of ice. Some feet from him sits a lonely figure, surrounded by whirling snow and covered with frost. Ilias walks slowly towards the figure, looking sad. Kio? Please, it hurts my heart to see you like this. he says sadly as he approaches. Kio doesn't move, but the mist her breath leaves in the air shows that she's still alive. In her right hand she's holding a katana, the blade partly covered by snow.

Ilias comes over and sits down next to her. Please don't do this, Kio. he says and places his hand on hers, trying to look her in the eyes. Her face is covered with frost and her skin have turned slightly blue. Her pearly eyes stare at the ice below her. She whispers something, slowly and coldly.

I would find a sin to do ere I die,
Sure to dissolve and destroy me all through

Ilias looks at her with deep worry Kio, please look at me. Please just look at me.

She turns her head and looks at him with tears in her eyes I'm s..s...sorry. I love you, I...Ilias!

Ilias looks her in the eyes Don't be sorry, K... he says but stops abruptly as Kio's blade flashes. His eyes widen in shock and pain, as the blade pierces his heart. He falls over with a sad gaze, his blood quickly painting the ice below him deep red.

Kio draws back her blade, then looks at the sky I... I have killed an angel, and a child of the gods... the only man I've ever loved... I can find no greater sin! I have slain my love, truly now I have nothing to live for! she calls out before pointing the blade at her own heart. A tear falls on the icy ground as she falls over, the sword passing through her heart.

Kio's blood seeps out on the white surface below, mixing with Ilias'.

[Deadly]

((Sorry for double posting... or tripple posting, I guess.))

Some time passes as the spilt blood is slowly covered by falling snow. Suddenly a barely visible form rises from Kio's body, looking around with empty eyes. She looks down at herself, then at her dead body below her. No... No no no... this can't be true, this was not supposed to happen! the ghost cries.

The light of the otherwise very bright plane grows and a radiant figure appears in front of Kio's ghost. Tamiya Shien Kio! You have spilt kindred blood, that of an innocent spirit of pure heart. We hereby banish you! You are one of us no longer, and your mortal soul shall wander in darkness forever, or until you have attoned for your sins!

The figure disappears with a shimmer of light. Kio cries out and kneels down. She tries to touch Ilias, but her hand moves right through him. She stands back in terror, then disappears.

[Lykan]

Lykan and Mhina appear on the plane of Ice, on the top of a mountain where they can view a valley filled with glittering ice crytal below. Lykan shivers considerably, but seems fine otherwise

[Mhina]

Mhina creates a protection from the cold around them, holding his hand. She smiles, looking out across the vast cold plane.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles after he stops shivering and kisses her

[Mhina]

Mhina returns the kiss, clinging to him. She seems quite a bit stronger on this plane, and her fever has gone down.

[Lykan]

Lykan sighs, hugging her

Do you feel any better?

[Mhina]

She nods, smiling up at him. She gives him a quick peck on the cheek and looks out over the ice again.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles plopping down on the ground

I wonder if this place had auras...

[Mhina]

She looks at him, questioningly.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles

They're beautiful rainbow lights in the sky at night, that ussually only occur in the northernmost areas...

[Mhina]

She smiles, looking up at the sky.

[Lykan]

Lykan grins

Take away the cold, and this place becomes paradise...

[Mhina]

Mhina smiles, making it perfectly clear that she likes the plane the way it is.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles, kissing her

Thanks for making it so I could live, then...

[Mhina]

She smiles, returning the kiss.

[Lykan]

He looks up at the sky, sighing

[Mhina]

She looks over at him, curiously.

[Lykan]

Lykan loks back at her and smiles

Say... How much do yo like it here?

[Mhina]

She grins and looks back out over the ice.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles

Okay, how about a 1 to 10 sort of thing?

[Mhina]

She holds up both hands, indicating ten.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles

I think I may have an idea about a permenent settlement, then.

[Mhina]

Mhina blinks and shakes her head.

[Lykan]

Lykan raises an eyebrow

What's wrong?

[Mhina]

She places a hand over her stomach.

[Saurous]

Saurous appears in an icy field in somewhere on the Plane.

There must be some purpose to that rift placing me here, I suppose I should search this place to find out.

Saurous starts sprinting off towards an elevated area.

[Lykan]

Lykan sighs

Well, couldn't we make the house in able to be survible by most people?

[Mhina]

She looks at him with concern.

[Lykan]

Lykan frowns

What's wrong?

[Saurous]

Saurous approaches the ice plateau and checks the edge for grips of any sort. There are none, but Saurous notices a person laying out on the ice and walks calmly over to the person.

[Mhina]

Mhina shakes her head and looks away, unable to communicate her fears.

[Lykan]

Lykan bites his lip

Can you write it in the ice, Mhina?

[Mhina]

She holds out a hand and the ice begins to chip away as words are spelled. I'm worried that this may not be a suitable environment for Fallon...you've seen how easily she gets cold...

[Saurous]

Saurous kneels down next to the person, who appears to be a human woman with dark brown hair, tanned skin, and deep green eyes.

Are you awake?

The girl says nothing but moans quietly

You are very luckly that I used all my spells today, otherwise you'd be the newest addition to my undead legion

The girl rolls over and looks up at him with her eyes full of fatigue. She then moans and falls unconscious.

I suppose I should get you to some sort of settlement.

Saurous picks of the girl in his arms and walks a few feet. She slips from his hands and squeals when she hits the ice. Perhaps I should have spent a few moments building arm strength rather than practicing acrobatics or reading that book. he thinks to himself.
What spells do I have left that I could use?
He thinks for a moment, and then remembers he has a floating disk spell left. He focuses and summons the disk, and then lifts the girl on top of it. He pushes it across the ice.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles

I can make it so she can be comfertable... An immunity to cold is something I can replicate...

[Mhina]

Mhina shakes her head and continues to write. I don't want to risk her health.

[Saurous]

Saurous looks up into the sky while pushing the disk, and daydreams. Luckily, Saurous notices two people standing atop a short mountain up ahead. He picks up speed. Perhaps they know more about this plane than I do.

[Lykan]

Lykan nods

Alright... Maybe a vacation home, maybe?

He grins slightly

[Mhina]

She nods, smiling.

[Saurous]

Saurous hides the floating disk and the girl behind a large chunk of ice jutting from the ground. He quietly and cautiously begins climbing the side of the mountain. Climbing abilities, please don't fail now...

[Lykan]

He smiles

Heh... Maybe I'll build a mansion out of blue ice int the forest... Would you like that?

[Mhina]

She shakes her head.

[Lykan]

Lykan frowns

What would you like, Mhina?

[Saurous]

Saurous approaches the top of the short mountain. He finally gets a better look at the two people. One of them is a gruff looking man who is strangely wolf-like. The person next to him is a pale woman who apparently can't speak. The man is talking about making a mansion out of blue ice. They must be dillusional from the cold.....or insane....or both

[Mhina]

She hugs Lykan. She doesn't seem to notice Saurous.

[Lykan]

Lykan sighs

I want to be able to take you where ever you want to live, Mhina... Just write the word, and I'll make it for you...

[Saurous]

Saurous stands from his crouching position and walks a few feet closer to Lykan and Mhina. He brings up enough bravery to say You two, do you know anything about this place? He readies what spells he still has and pulls out his magic blade incase he must defend himself.

[Mhina]

We already have a home.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles, hugging her again

I love you, Mhina...

[Mhina]

She smiles and kisses him.

[Saurous]

Saurous puts his sword away after hearing more of the two's conversation. He starts backing back down the hill, until he is lying down, hidden behind a small pile of snow an ice. He doesn't remember if he ever felt for someone like these two felt for each other.

Saurous' foot accidentally kicks chunks of ice down the mountain, making loud cracking and thumping noises. He winces.

[Lykan]

Lykan cuddles next to Mhina, wrapping his arms around her

[Saurous]

Saurous makes one last attempt to speak to the two. Um, I don't mean to interrupt your personal moment, but could you help me?

[Lykan]

Lykan wakes up again, shivering, he looks down at Mhina, smiling

[Wukei]

Mhina smiles, hugging him.

[Saurous]

By the time the two woke up again, Saurous was already half way down the mountain again, and heading back for the girl. Well, what a lot of help those two were. I have to find someone actually helpful! Saurous makes it to the bottom, yells one last thing back at Lykan and Mhina, and continues away from the mountain.

[Lykan]

Lykan grins again, still shivering

Did you sleep well?

[Wukei]

She puts up another shield around them and nods.

[Saurous]

Saurous doesn't make it far from the mountain. After walking a few feet, he feels his lungs contract, and his whole body becomes covered in a thin layer of frost. What...this place...is..killing me! Saurous coils into a ball. I have....to...not...freeze... Saurous manages to roll a little ways back to the mountain for some reason. I hope someone can find me....

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles

That's good...

He looks over the Plane again, sighing

[Wukei]

Mhina points at the ice. We should go home.

[Lykan]

Lykan nods

Alright... But when we get there, I wwanna look at your mind again, if that's okay...

[Saurous]

Saurous manages to use False Life to sustain himself. He then uses his last spell to cast Dancing Lights into the sky around him. I can only hope someone sees that. I still can't move my legs, and the freezing will be back soon... Saurous looks over to where the girl from earlier was supposed to be. She looked almost as bad off as he was, except she wasn't struggling as much.

[Wukei]

She nods, sighing.

[Lykan]

Lykan bites his lip

I won't if you don't want me to... I'm just... Worried...

[Wukei]

Mhina shakes her head, smiling reassuringly.

[Lykan]

Lykan smiles, and kisses her. They dissipear

[Lykan]

On the bleak desolate tundra of the plane of ice, a single lone figure in a black cloak walks, surrounded by a swarm of black orbs. Storming toward it are a group of polar bear men (to the more knowledgeable, Usarkans), with raised axes and hammers. The cloaked figure doesn’t even look up, the orbs of black whizzing toward each, leaving a dozen holes in each creature except for one, which is left half alive, limping away and bleeding heavily. The cloaked figure walks over next to it, leaning close and speaking into its ear

Go back and tell your people what you experienced today. I won’t be so gentle the next time that one of you bear-headed bastards try to kill me.

She casts Cure Serious Wounds on the Usarkan, and keeps walking across the tundra, leaving the bear-man to scramble away in fear.

[Nevrmore]

A white speck on the horizon, barely unanle to be seen, the man stalks the tundra, his boots kicking through the perma-frost. The heavy pelt of a polar bear who met his end at the man's axe hangs on his shoulders, shielding him from the unyielding cold. A small rumble alerts him as he turns around.

"Oh goody...Just an ice giant." He says in a strange accent as said giant stalks towards him.

[AmberVael]

A scrying sensor pops up nearby Mory.

[Lykan]

Mory seems to be walking through a freshly slaughtered village of blue skinned folk, quite indistinguishable at this point. Semi-real black wings appear to be on her back, and a halo of blood red flame floats a few inches above her head. A clear aura of unholy energy is around her as she feasts on the corpse of one of the blue humanoids.

An illusion of Aesa appears, raising an eyebrow.
A bit hungry, are we?

[Nevrmore]

The hunter turns to face the giant as it approaches. As it comes upon him, the beast lifts a huge club seemingly made out of a snow-covered tree recently ripped from the ground, and brings it down towards the man in a wide arc. He quickly rolls out of the way and darts to the beast's leg, which he negins slicing at with the axe, hoping to chip it away until it shatters.

[Lykan]

Mory jumps up, crouching over and snarling, looking around

[AmberVael]

Aesa leans against the air.
You know, when I turned the responsibility of dealing with your illness over to you, I didn't think you'd take out your anger quite this much.

[Nevrmore]

The Ice Giant feels the sensation against his leg and looks around frantically. However, seeing as the beast can only see the man's back, he passes right over him, the bleached white fur of the polar bear's pelt serving as a nice cover. However, it's only a matter of time before the beast, confused, pained, and angry, simply swings his club wildly. The man takes a solid hit to the back and goes flying through the air, cradled by the blanket of upturned snow zooming below him. He hits the soft snow with a muffled thud and quickly regains his footing.

[Lykan]

She growls and turns back to the thing she was eating, ripping off a chunk of its arm with pointed teeth. A gust of wind knocks aside her cloak's hood to reveal that her face is actually in perfect condition...

[AmberVael]

Aesa raises an eyebrow again, then reaches out towards Mory's mind to see just exactly what was going on.

[Lykan]

Mory's mind seems to be altered by some divine energy, though she's not doing anything to keep the energy from coursing through the rest of her body. It seems that the negative energy that was once harming her is instead traveling directly to the dozen or so orbs circling her form that Lykan forgot to mention before.

[Nevrmore]

The man rises to his feet, cursing in a foreign language. He quickly lowers the maw of the polar bear pelt from his head, feeling around for the wound that the giant opened up. The warm touch of blood and a sting of pain through his pain are a good indicator that he's found it.

"I am not in the mood for this!" The man says as if the Ice Giant would understand him. He quickly wets his fingers in his blood and begins writing strange runes onto the blade of his axe as the giant approaches.

[AmberVael]

Aesa taps her lips- or she looks like she does- considering this.
How very, very odd.
And rather unfortunate.
It does, at least, give an answer to the problem.

[Lykan]

A blue skined being erupts from the snow by Mory, a bone sword raised to cut the bloodchild in two. She grabs the things wrist before it could make a full swing, looks at it with a predatory look, then flips it over and slams it into the ice next to her. The thing's bones make a sickening crunch, and it screams in pain, dropping the sword. Mory's body lights up in flame, and she grabs the things neck, causing it to scream and write in pain for several moments before finally falling dead.

[AmberVael]

Aesa's illusion suddenly fills in all the way, becoming real.
The scrying sensor vanishes.
I think you've done enough, Mory.

[Lykan]

Mory ignores her, eating the other thing's flesh again

[Nevrmore]

The gargantuan beast does not stop approaching the man as he continues to back up, the giant taking one step to his five. He keeps inscribing runs on his axe which slowly begin to light up until

<"Done! Now, giant, feel the cleansing fires of- ">

THWACK

The man is suddenly confused. He can't quite tell where he is in relation to the world right now. His eyes are glued shut and gravity seems to be shifting constantly.

Oh, no wonder - He's flipping through the air at incredible speeds. He spins for several seconds, seemingly never reaching the peak of his trajectory, before he finally levels out and opens an eye. He sucks in a breath as he sees that he is now impossibly far away from the giant and still sailing.

[AmberVael]

Aesa tries to use a spell to make the corpses simply fade to dust.

[Lykan]

The corpses do so. She turns to Aesa, growling

[Nevrmore]

A small explosion of snow erupts a few yards away from Aesa and Mory as the man, finally landing from his rather painful launch from the ice giant, hits the ground, the soft snow being all that kept him from shattering into a gooey paste of his former self upon impact.

"Ooooh..." He moans.

[AmberVael]

Aesa quickly sets up a wall of force around herself and Mory to prevent Mory from practically mauling the guy.
I'm going to make you pay attention to me one way or another, Mory.

[Lykan]

An aura of flames shockwaves from Mory as she tries to break through the wall of force, with no avail. She looks at Aesa, and pounces, a jump aided by her spectral wings.

[AmberVael]

Aesa is suddenly wearing her blackstone gauntlets, and the armor ability she added into them kicks in, creating a set of blood red stone full plate around herself.
She raises an arm to block Mory- and should Mory touch her there would be a sensation of burning as the armor disentegrates what it touches.

[Nevrmore]

The man lying in a mound of quickly reddening snow barely seems to notice the ensuing fight, possibly because he has sustained a concussion. Instead he watches the sky as it becomes to turn colors in his mind.

[Lykan]

Mory screeches as soon as she comes in contact with the armor, skulking away a bit before calling a dozen black orbs and flinging them at Aesa

[AmberVael]

Aesa attempts to counter them with a wave of positive energy.

[Lykan]

The orbs half in size, though continue toward their target.

[AmberVael]

Aesa hisses as they strike her, though the various energies she normally gathers about her should negate the attacks somewhat.
She does, however, retaliate with a ray of energy that should stun Mory if it hits, and then with a spell to restore her emotional state to normal.

[Lykan]

Mory hits the dirt, stunned, though restoring her emotional state may proove difficult. The divine energy isn't helping the mater much.

[AmberVael]

Aesa sighs and attempts to get a hold in Mory's mind while she is still stunned.

[Lykan]

She is successful. Mory's orbs of void pop out of existance.

[AmberVael]

Aesa attempts to 'seal' the divine power away, at least for now.

[Lykan]

She is successful once again.

Mory blacks out.

[AmberVael]

Aesa sighs and dismisses her wall of force and looks at the quite squished man as she picks up Mory.
She gives him a slight kick.
A kick with a healing power attached, it might be important to note. :P

[Lykan]

Mory groans, and shifts on Aesa's shoulder

[AmberVael]

Aesa moves Mory to rest in her arms.

[Lykan]

Mory's halo of fire and spectral wings have dissipeared. From across the tundra, a tribe of Usarkan move toward them.

[AmberVael]

Aesa looks at them, raising an eyebrow.
...joy.
She turns the opposite direction, holds Mory tightly, and flies like... er... something really really really scary was after her?
...Like Cthulhu?

[Lykan]

Suddenly, Cthulu bursts from the-

Mory comes to slightly

Whu...

[AmberVael]

Aesa lands, now that they are probably pretty far away.
Aesa does travel pretty fast.

[Lykan]

Mory looks up at Aesa, lazily

I hate these dreams.

[AmberVael]

Aesa tilts her head and sits down.
What dreams?

[Lykan]

With you. Go away.

She closes her eyes again

[AmberVael]

Why, do you hate me now or something?
I mean... it wasn't an especially nice thing that I did, but...
Aesa gently brushes Mory's hair away from teh snow.

[Lykan]

She rolls over

Make me homesick.

[AmberVael]

Aesa smiles and teleports them away.
