Chernobyl diaries... a pile of crap

the premise, idea and setting were interesting, the subsequent plot, character definition, special effects, some of the acting, execution and..well..everything really.. were simply dreadful.
if you're thinking of going to watch it... don't.
save the money or send it to one of the many "children of chernobyl" associations around the world.

yeah that's what all the reviews say. gotta agree.
it's a shame, really, because the concept has so much potential. i mean, a disaster area bathed in radiation? oh the twisted abominations could be endless and disquieting in the fact we'd never know what they were. but no, hollywood sucks and good horror is hard to come by. :smallsigh:

Edit: actually videogame versions are better than this film.

Had high hopes for this film. Planned to see it with a group of friends over a month in advance. We finally see it and all leave the theater dissapointed. They could have done this so much better. Bassically, too much forced gore and not enough story. Ended a little to early too. Generously, I'd say 3/10.
