I read the first book when I was a good deal younger, and liked it, and then dropped it when High Society got boring. I started to reread the other day, and it was everything I remembered it being. I'm currently working my way through High Society, and enjoying it, but I'm just wondering if someone who's read further can tell me if the later stuff is worth my time or money. I just don't want to lose that much if it begins to degenerate. (I've heard reviews that proclaim Dave Sim as a genius, and ones that confirm he lost his mind about 100 pages in)

All I know about the series is that is created the term Cerebus Syndrome which basically means goodbye jokes, hello plot. I'm not sure how the actual books are.
