Over in the blue starting area, a brilliant burst of light shines, then fades away to reveal Elya in its midst. She draws out a scroll and uses it, and wind begins to whip around her, and her eyes glow with charged electricity. She pulls out a stone, drops it, then casts a spell and points towards Markan, though nothing happens to him. Again Elya pulls out a stone and drops it, then murmurs a prayer and vanishes from Markan's sight. Those in the arena see her pull out another stone and suddenly go into a flurry of movement before standing ready to fight.

Round 1: Elya manifests Schism (7-1pp) and gains psionic focus, then brings up her Dispel Ward as a free action.
Round 2: Elya pulls out a scroll of Storm Rage and casts it on herself, then manifests Energy Conversion. (13pp-1pp)
Round 3: Elya pulls out a powerstone of Personal Mind Blank and uses it on herself, then casts Assay Spell Resistance.
Round 4: Elya pulls out a powerstone of Stygian Veil and uses it, then casts Miracle to duplicate Greater Invisibility.
Round 5a: Elya pulls out a power stone of Temporal Acceleration and uses it.

The clouds overhead suddenly darken over one half of the arena, as if a storm could burst open any minute, bolts of heat lightning cracking and flashing between the clouds. With a whirl of black cloud and shrieking wind, a narrow tornado whips and twirls down from the clouds above to touch down in the center of Markan's square. As it is drawn back into the clouds, Markan is left in all of his crimson-and-gold resplendent glory, blood-red cloak with gleaming flames whipping in the gale-force winds. He begins drawing scrolls from the scrollcase on his hip and discarding them with little more than a glance, and with each one there is a shimmer of light that surrounds him for nothing more than a second.
Without warning, bolts of lightning begin hammering into the floor of the arena, ten in quick succession in a semicircle around Markan's square. As the lights clear, twelve massive lionlike humanoids stand in full view, black fur stretched tight over iron muscles and ebony manes whipping in the wind, their golden eyes quickening with battle-lust.
Then the clouds begin to churn once more, like a witch's cauldron, drawn in much larger quantites down to Markan as he rises 30 feet into the air, rapidly shaped with but a thought into a vaguely humanoid form over 40 feet tall, smoldering red sparks where eyes should be and shadowy black talons for hands, with Markan rising into place over its right shoulder.
Floating in midair, Markan taps two fingers to his faceplate in a salute to the crowd before drawing a simple iron flask from his hip. As he uncaps the flask, bloody crimson smoke begins pouring out to fill the space in the air 20 feet above the ground between the lines of leonals, taking its true form - that of flame and leathery wings, iron muscle and demonic horns, lightning bolt blade and whip of fire - one of the Abyssal Lords himself in all his glory - a balor. Markan's fists flare with his inborn crimson fire and the leonals bellow an earsplitting roar, and fall into battle stances.

Smoke Claws A smoke paraelemental can engulf opponents by moving on top of them. It fills the air around one opponent smaller than itself without provoking an attack of opportunity. The target must succeed on a DC 34 Fortitude save or inhale part of the creature. The save DC is Constitution-based. Smoke inside the victim solidifies into a claw and begins to rip at the surrounding organs, dealing 6d6 points of damage per round. An affected creature can attempt another Fortitude save each subsequent round to cough out the semivaporous menace.

((Also, I fail to see how casting Time Stop from a scroll is a free action. Do you mean Swift Action?))
((The bracers of Spell Turning are command, so that would take a standard action to use them unless noted))
((Storm Rage gives me Wind Walls in a ten foot radius around me that move with me. I also can fly, ignore wind effects, and can shoot lightning bolts as a ranged touch attack. I only have a limited number of lightning dice though))
((Stormrage got changed in the Spell Compendium. I have a 40ft fly speed, am unaffected by wind and normal ranged weapons, and can shoot one lightning bolt per round))
((Stygian Veil effectively gives me the undead type, but without actually being undead. And in case you were wondering, no, I don't have a Constitution score. Yes, that puts me down a large number of HP))

Much as I hate it, I'm going to be unavailable until Monday. Due to this, I'm pulling out of the tournament rather than hold everyone back. Sorry.
